I'm So Sorry

Chapter 18

A.n. I'm sorry for not updating much in the last last couple of weeks (months), I have school so I am going to try and update like I said I was going too. But also have days where I get done with everything I need too, to just writing.

I was running as fast as I could through the forest. I didn't want to look back, afraid I might see someone coming after me. I eventually stumbled on a tree root and fell. Catching myself, with my hands I got up, and started running as fast as I could. Eventually I came across a small cottage that was on a nearby path way.
I decided it was safe enough and I walked up to the cute little cottage. While I was walking, I heard some branches snap so I went and dove under a bush to hide. As I was sitting there I peaked out just enough to where I could see but to where the people wouldn't be able to see me.
As they came closer I tried my best in order to stay quiet and not make to much noise. I could smell a mixture of vanilla which was most definitely Hermione but then a pungent smell of rose and I knew it that one was Ginny. She always sprayed that perfume when we were dating. And would go overboard with how much she put on.
They were looking around and I, thankfully, snuck around the back of the bush until I could get as far away as I could from them. And it worked! I ran and ran as fast as I could until I couldn't run no more.
Eventually I reached what seems to be a dirt road and there were cars going by!! I knew I had to get a ride from someone since I needed to get help for James. So I climb up the small hill that was by the ditch.
And flagged down a car but I recognized it immediately sicne it was Percy Weasley. I tried to get away but he was faster and grabbed me off of the side of the gravely trail.
As expected I was struggling and trying to call for help but like I also expected it didn't work and soon I felt everything go black. From Percy knocking me out and dragged me to his car before I fully passed out.
After what seemed like an hour but it was probably only 20 minutes or so I woke up to the rancid smell of old blood. I tried to move my arms but to no avail they where chained to the the rusty poke behind me.
I look to my right and I see James all bloodied and with so many scars on his body. There's no doubt in my mind that I am the reason why he got beaten like this since he was the one to let me go to try and get help.

James pov
After I woke up from my "little" nap I look over to my left and see Aiden is back. I tried to get up but I couldn't from my broken ankle and broken legs.
"What are you doing back here? I thought you got to mom and dad?" I asked him and he just shook his head as his eyes where filling with tears.
I scooted my way over to him and leaned on him gently while he gently hugs me. "It's okay aid I love you and you did all you could. I promise you that nothing will happen to you. I will take everything that those monsters try to do to you."
