I stared at the person before me in shock. I couldn’t believe he was standing here with a smirk plastered across his face.
“Did you feel that chemistry, baby? We’re like fire.” He said close to my ear as he grabbed onto my hips again. Still in shock, it hasn’t processed in my mind that he was pushing the both of us into a corner of the club.
Once my back hit the cool, smooth surface all my senses came back to me.
“Let go of me Drew!” I tried yelling over the pounding music.
I couldn’t believe he was here right now. I haven’t seen him since the break up and with him touching me the way he was brought back some old, unwanted feelings.
I looked up at him and realized how close we actually are. Subconsciously I leaned towards him and smelled the alcohol oozing off of him.
“Get off me Drew you’re drunk.” For some reason my words made him mad and he tightened his hands on my hips causing me to let out a surprising yelp. I tried to twist myself away from his grip, but that resulted in him putting one of his hands through my hair and roughly pull it back. I let out a whimper and shook my head furiously as he started leaning in for a kiss.
Right before his lips met mine I pulled my head back and forward again to head bud him. Fuck! That probably hurt me more than it hurt him but it made him stagger a few steps back in surprise. I started moving past him trying to look for Sam. I saw her by the bar talking to some guy. Just as I attempted to call out to her over the loud music I felt a hand grip onto my arm.
“Now hold on baby. I let you slip from my fingers once, it won’t happen again.” Drew slurred as he pulled me towards the wall again. This time he held me to it by pinning my hands above my head.
I pushed myself further into the wall as he leant in. In a matter of seconds I felt his sloppy wet mouth being placed on mine. I started trashing my body around but he held my head in place and continued. His mouth felt like a vacuum as he attempted to suck my lips off.
This kiss was terrible. I don’t remember Drew being like this.
The only option I had left was the nutcracker, so I lifted my knee up. However, right before my knee met his package he groaned in pain. Confused, I looked up to see Drew sprawled out on the floor and Mr. Walker on top of him. Just after one punch, Drew looked like he was already unconscious.
I looked to my side to see Evan rushing to me with Sam right by his side. They were cornering me with worried expressions. I was all woozy and tired so I shut my eyes and fell asleep. The last thing I remembered was a pair of strong warm arms catching me and placing me over their shoulder.

“Why the fuck was she with that prick?!?! How does she know him??”
“Who, Drew? That was her ex-fiancé. How do you know him?”
“EX-FIANCE? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT WAS HER EX-FIAN----“
“SHH! You’re going to wake her up”
I heard Sam’s voice quietly shush Mr. Walker--- wait a minute MR. WALKER? I shot up quickly. What the hell is he doing in my house??
I clutched my head groaning as I remembered I head budded Drew last night.
“Ugh, what's going on, Sam? And why is my boss in my bedroom?”
Her eyes quickly shot to Mr. Walker’s. “Good morning sweetie. Do you remember anything that happened last night?” she asked me slowly.
“Yes, Sam I have a headache not amnesia. Now explain to me how you know Drew?” I asked looking at Nick.
“Well good morning to you too sunshine.” I glared at him. He smiled while putting his hands up in surrender.
“Well Drew, Evan and I were old college buddies in Chicago. We dormed together, partied together; we were even each other’s wingmen. One night Drew met a few of these guys who were able to get him some cocaine. He instantly became addicted. He tried getting me and Evan on it, but we knew drugs were where we crossed the line. As me and Evan grew apart from Drew, he started growing closer to this gang. It started getting so out of hand that one night Drew called us for help. We met him at our usual spot, but when we got there we saw—“
“Nick!” That was the first time I noticed Evan in the room. He looked at Nick with wide eyes begging him to stop.
“You saw what? Tell me!” I pleaded. I was stunned that I had been engaged to this guy and I didn’t know anything about him. Our whole relationship was based on lies.
Mr. Walker shook his head. “You have to get some sleep; we have work in the morning.” He said as he came towards me and kissed my forehead while tucking me in. “Goodnight Angela.”
With that they all filed out of the room, shutting off the lights and leaving me with a million and one questions swarming through my head.
