Adithi's POV:

I woke up excited from the sleep. Finally, it's my birthday. And I am going to propose to him. I can't wait. I bit my lower lip and smiled. I took my family photo from the nearby table and hugged it. Amma and Appa would have been so happy to meet Jeeva and his family. I kissed them in the photo. 'I miss you,' I said and left it back.

I got ready and checked myself in the mirror. Perfect. I tied my hair and wore matching accessories. I checked my bag for the ring. I ate breakfast and grabbed my bag and walked out.

Bhabhi's home was locked. I pressed the doorbell but there was no response. I grabbed my phone and called her. Not reachable. I called Kartika. Again not reachable. She hasn't come here and she is also not attending the call. I sighed. I called Mother Grace. What the hell is wrong with the network? Not reachable again. My phone beeped. Message from Jeeva. I opened it with a smile.

'Come to the office soon. A meeting is scheduled'. Meeting? I didn't schedule any meetings. Blazy might have scheduled. I typed the reply and rushed to the office. I directly went to my cabin. He was there in his room. He signed me to come in. He was seriously working in his Macbook. 'Take the files. Prepare the reports,' he said without looking at me. Will he notice the change in me today? 'Take them,' he said again.

I took them. 'I need the reports within 2 pm,' he ordered. Why he is rude today? I could feel the hardness in his voice. 'Don't stand. Start your work,' he chided staring at me. 'Ok,' I replied and went back to my seat. I dropped the files on my table and frowned. I felt like he is seeing me. I turned but he was doing his work.

God! Not today. I sat in my seat and took a file. It was dated before years. I took it to his room. 'Jeeva this is an old file,' I said. 'So what? Preparing reports is your job. Do it,' he said harshly. I nodded and went back to my cabin. What is wrong with him today? Why he is behaving so rudely with me? Can't he notice the change in me today? Can't he guess that it's my birthday?

'You haven't completed these yet,' Arya entered the room startling me. 'Arya. I have just started it,' I replied. 'Rush it up. It's important,' he sounded rude. What's wrong with Arya? I sighed and started my work. I rushed up the work and completed the work within 1 pm. I haven't taken a break. I took the reports and the files to him. As I entered the room, some files slide from my hands. Shit.

'Can't you be careful?' he picked them up and placed them in the table. 'Reports,' I gave it to him. 'You should be fast,' he said reading the reports. 'What's wrong with you Jeeva? Why are you so rude today?' I asked cluelessly. 'If you have completed the work fast, nothing would have been wrong,' he threw the results in his table. 'Oh really? I am not a machine to complete the work within seconds,' I replied sharply and placed the files with a thud.

'You can leave for lunch. But be back after half an hour,' he said surfing his phone. 'I'll try,' I replied sharply and slammed the door. How rude? Something has gotten into his head. I felt like he is smiling at me. But when I looked he was still surfing his phone. Adithi. You have gone mad. You're just imagining. I said to myself and took my phone from my bag.

The ring box was resting in my bag. I sighed seeing it. When will I propose to him if he treats me like this? I grabbed my phone and left the cafeteria. I called Uthra during the walk. She didn't pick up. She might be busy with her shift. I called Sarla Maa. Her phone was busy. I sighed and got my food. I occupied a table and ate it. I don't feel hungry at all. But I need energy for today.

I finished off the food and went back to my cabin. He was not in his cabin. He would have gone for lunch. I called Kartika again. There was no response. You too Kartika? I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I will propose to him after office hours. I have to tell him that I need his time. I waited for him. After 30 minutes he arrived.
