27- Then what for friends are?

Jeeva's POV:

Her activities were confusing me. She is behaving weird since he came. She wants to say something but she is reluctant to say that. That man looked at us and left.

She sighed on seeing him leave. "Is everything fine Adithi?",I asked her. "Yes... Of course everything's fine... May I know why are you asking this?",she asked me in return with a smile.

"You seem to be so tensed. That's why I asked you that. Are you sure that everything is ok?",I asked her out of doubt. "Yes sir... Everything's fine",she smiled.

"Ok Shall we move in?",I asked pointing towards the entrance. "Yeah sure sir",she replied. My phone started ringing. It's Arya. Finally he woke up. Seeing me stopped in my tracks Adithi also stopped.

"Shall I go in?",she asked me. "You can wait. It's Arya",I said and answered the call. "Jeeva... Where are you? Why didn't you tell us?",Arya asked me. "Arya wait... Just breathe for a minute",I replied.

There was silence at the other end. "Arya I was thinking to tell everyone something but you all were sleeping. So I decided not to disturb you. I came here by myself",I explained.

"Where are you now? Amma is worried. She tried to call you but the line was busy. If you can then come home soon please",he stated. "Ok I'll come soon",I accepted.

I ended the call and looked at Adithi who was simply standing looking at the flowers. "Adithi...",I called her and she responded by gazing at me.

"Adithi... I have to leave now. Please convey my excuse to Mother. I thought of talking to her. But I have to leave now",I said. "It's fine sir. I'll convey it to her",she replied. "Ok Bye",I bid bye to her. "Bye",she replied with a smile.

I ignited my car and drove to home.

Adithi's POV:

Someone patted my shoulder. It's Mother. "Did he left?",she asked me. "Mother he was waiting for you but he received a call. So he left. He asked me to convey his excuse to you Mother",I explained.

"Oh It's fine... I am really surprised to know that you are working with him. He has a big heart",she said. "Yes... He is really a gentle man",I replied with a smile. "Adithi why are you standing here? Come in",she said.

"Mother I have to leave. Sorry. Hope you understand me Mother",I sighed. "Of course dear... I understand your condition. But what happened? Is everything alright?",she asked me.

"Yes Mother everything's fine. Bye Mother...",I bid bye to her. "Bye dear... Take care",she responded. I walked out from there. I don't know how I feel right now. I am feeling both happy and sad.

Today I met a person whom I didn't wanted to meet in my life. But I am happy that I gave him a suitable reply. I feel guilty that I had to lie which is including Jeeva sir.

I made him involve in this issue unnecessarily. But I had no other options to show that I am happy. Sir please forgive me for my lie. I hired a taxi.

Jeeva's POV:

When I entered the living room all were waiting for me. "Jeeva where did you go?",Amma asked me as soon as she saw me. She came to me with a worried face.

"Amma Just relax... I'll tell you for sure",I replied cupping her face. "Jeeva this is not fair. You don't have any idea how Amma was tensed... We searched for you everywhere in the house but you were not here. We called you but your line was busy",Kanamma worried.
