Matt was dead. The blade glowed and Matt burst into flames. The bade hoverd to the Pergate and joined the others.the blade hover and spun as that drifted outward. They all faced the bottom gems toward the center. A small beam of light illuminated the gems and centered to the middle of the cercle. They stopped right before they met. A small hole was left at the vertex of the rays. All that was missing was one small dot.
“I want.”
I jumped at the deep voice behind me. My hands tightened, one had something in it.
“I want.”
The dagger. I forgot about the sin!
“Want!”
I turned to fight with the dagger but was gut checked by a metal pipe. The sin of Envy was on the other end of the heavy pipe. I was doubled over in pain as the beast halled the pipe up over its head. As the blunt force came down I fell backwards as to escape my crushed fate. After I flexed my stomach and found no sign of broken, popped, or bleeding insides I stood and faced the beast.
The odds where even. Massive power of the heavy two handed pipe versus the light weight fast strikes of my dagger. I jumped at these odds. If I make it behind the beast I will have an advantage. I will have an estimated five seconds until the beast turns around. I slid right but dashed right for confusion. It worked I was on my way around the monster and it was just turning it’s head. Bingo! Open back ready for the kill.
“I want!” The beast flipped. The head was bent back at the neck and the arms had swung one eighty around to face me. It was like fighting a circus act!
I was in shock! I have never see arms go from straight forward to straight back like that. Its as if the shoulders of this thing where just thread! The neck was arched so it’s head was upside down, but still at the average face angle. The face spun to look at me strate. I was petrified.
“Want!” Another blow swept me over to the bookshelf where threw Matt moments before.
I found the glass of the lamp as some of it stabbed into my hands and back. Idea. I chucked the glass like shurikens. The small glass shards were on a curve so they flue funny. I managed to hit the monsters shoulder just slightly before it got to me.
The beast picked my up and held my throat to the wall. “I want.”
“You want?” I asked. “Then you can can fucking have!” I grabbed Matt’s sword and drove it threw the monsters arm. The beast dropped me as he struddled to get the blade free from its bloody arm. I ran for what I needed.
The beast flipped back to me and I was ready. I had tied the dagger of Envy to the rope I tied up Matt with. I created a chain scythe. I spun the blade over my head and around my side.
“You want! Come get it you mother fucker!” I tempted the beast toward me.
The beast ran at me. I swung the blade out and it made a long slash across the beast. I pulled back and swung again! The mask was cracked as it spliced threw the face and shoulder. The beast fell to it knees and dropped its head.
I walked to the beast. “Youre mine now.”
The creature’s head shot up. “I WANT!”
“HAVE IT!” I dug the blade into the beast’s skull.
The beast brought its hand to my chest.“Wa. Want.” It was over. The beast rotted and fell apart.
The dagger melted. A pile of ash formed under the dagger. Once more, a flame was born from the ashes of the blade like a phoenix. It drifted to my eye level. Another small flame drift toward it. I looked to the direction it came from. There were six more flames, drifting from the daggers. All but one flame. one flame remained alone. The seven flames from the daggers drifted to me and combined before my eyes. The small flame was all alone. It hovered there, the size of a match. The torch light blazed in front of me as the match stayed. I took the large flame in hand and walked to the small light.
