Ember Alora Smith, otherwise called as Lori, was a special wolf, but also a special human. She had magic running through her veins and in her blood. It was raw and untamed, so her family kept her home to be homeschooled until she learned how to control it on her own with their guidance. She managed to control it before high school since the voices in her head were actually old witches that wander the earth as a ghost. All the witches who wandered the earth as ghosts.
In high school, she began to gain the symptoms of her older sister's when Maddy was going to turn into a wolf the first time. Maddy was there to help her through it, and Rhydian kept Lori in line once she turned. However, what they found out was her magic was somehow giving Lori some ability to resist the Moon's pull on werewolves. For some reason, she could change the size of her wolf by using the power of the full moon. She could also somehow shift into a form that was in-between the human body and the wolf body. She created many forms on her own. That year, they didn't even know what Lori was anymore. Lori was too different from everyone and everything, but her family still cared for her and helped her.
