The Dragon King (Acnologia X OC)

Chapter Five ~ X377

Anna took them to where she had been staying (literally in the middle of nowhere) and introduced the five children and their dragon parents to the two of them.

Ramona was immediately taken in by the children, they were absolutely precious and adorable, her inner dragon was delighted as well.

Acnologia was preoccupied with trying to flirt with Anna, quite horribly so.

Ramona did mind, each time she saw them together she felt a pang of jealousy and an urge to rip Anna into pieces but the children kept her complacent.

Not that she actually minded, once she got to know Anna she saw that she couldn't hate her no matter how jealous she was of her and they grew to become best friends.

That was not the only friendship Ramona had in those days, she also grew close to Grandeeney the Sky Dragon, they would bond over various things and grew to be as close as sisters.

As for the other dragons, it wasn't that she didn't like them or that they disliked her just that male dragons were idiots, which is also partly why she got along great with Grandeeney as fellow female dragons.

Out of the four males Ramona would say she was closest to Igneel because Natsu easily required the most attention, not that the boy was needy or anything like that.

It was because Natsu was extremely hyper, always picking a fight with either Acnologia or Gajeel, the boy never won against Acnologia but there were a few close calls in his fights against Gajeel.

Ramona had tried to get him to stop but it had been in vain, she ended up accepting that it was just how Natsu preferred to burn off energy, rather then something more productive like paying attention to his studies.

Acnologia as said before was busy trying to court Anna but the blonde was as stubborn as a rock, she wouldn't budge no matter what he tried.

Eventually he dropped the cheesy flirting and began getting to know her on a personal level.

Once he started with that Anna didn't seems so immovable anymore but then.

"Aren't you together with Ramona?" Anna had asked one time.

"No, not in the sense you're implying at least" Acnologia said.

"You have those matching tattoos" she pointed out gesturing to his wrist where the ancient script resided.

"This? I'm surprised you don't know it but this symbolises the vow we took, we would slay any dragon that would harm others, it's called a Magical Vow something we learned from my teacher a dragon named Medivh, it will grant us immeasurable strength and magical power for as long as it'll take us to fulfill the vow we took" Acnologia explained.

"I see" Anna nodded in understanding.

Ramona and the dragons were working out their plan to travel to the future, they discussed sealing themselves inside the children to prevent the dragon seeds inside them from growing.

But Ramona was sceptical it would work, the dragons would only unnecessarily expend their energy if it didn't work and if they did that, they would not be able to spend much time with their children in the future.

The entire reason for this plan was so they could spend time together without having to worry about someone coming in and killing them all off.

"What would you have us do then?" Igneel asked.

"I propose another plan, you so seal yourselves within the children and travel to the future and i will travel with you, provided if the era we travel to is rich with Ethernano i might be able to use a spell to turn you human permanently" Ramona said.

"What do you mean? What sort of spell could do that?"Weisslogia asked.

"The type that i developed, once i had this crazy stupid thought, if my mother Gaia was human we could live peacefully together, without fearing an attack from the village or other dragons"

"I didn't know than that dragons could take on a human form but i started working on a spell to grant that regardless"

"I dropped it after she was killed but it came to me again when Acnologia and i turned into dragons, i was surprised how easily Transformation Magic came to us and then you told us it's a skill all dragons posses.

I think i can tweak what i've worked out and make the transformation permanent but i can't do it now because of two reason, one it'll take a while to perfect the spell and two there's simply not enough magic in the current era to fuel it" Ramona explained.

"If your spell works would we be able to keep our magic?" Metalicana asked.

"I can't guarantee that, i can guarantee that you will be able to spend the rest of your time with your children" Ramona said.

The five dragons shared a look, each of them thinking it over.

"Very well, our fate is in your hands" Igneel said.

"Thank you for trusting me" Ramona smiled as she bowed.

For the next two years as Acnologia and Anna grew closer Ramona distracted herself from that by working on the spell and spending time with the children, in addition to writing a book.

She need the distraction.

(anyway)Once Ramona was confident the spell would work the plan was put into action, Anna also wrote a book to be passed along her descendants instructing one of them to open the Eclipse Gate in the future.

Acnologia suggested they should destroy the gate once done with it, traveling to the future was fine and all but he was certain it would shake something up.

Ramona concurred that it would be braking a few natural laws and she feared someone might use it to travel to the past, she couldn't even begin naming all the consequences that would bring.

They all agreed Acnologia would destroy the gate in the future, as since he was in all technicality a dragon they had little doubt he'd live until then.

The longer lifespan was something both Acnologia and Ramona had known before hand but it came as a shock to Anna, which led into an argument between her and Acnologia.

Anna was mad he hadn't told her before and Acnologia just made it worse by trying to come up with excuses, Ramona had settled the argument however and things were patched up.

(anyway) for the rest of the day they made preparations and such, tomorrow was the big day.

Everything was ready, the dragons were sealed in their slayers.

Anna had the twelve zodiac keys.

Ramona was set to travel through with the five kids whom had been packed into a cart and put to sleep thanks to magic.

Acnologia was there to see Ramona off.

The group wasn't expecting any trouble, which doomed them.

Anna unlocked the Eclipse Gate with the twelve zodiac keys, the massive door cracked open with a light shining beyond it.

Everything was going well, but just as they do the worst happened.

A dark figure came speeding out of the gate going straight for the five slayers but then they swerved and went straight at Anna

They moved too fast for her or any of them.

Blood flew.

Acnologia froze in shock for a second before attacking the mystery figure.

"Ramona go now!" he called.

"Right!" Ramona nodded quickly grabbing the cart and running through the gate which closed behind her.

Once the gate shut the mystery figure disappeared, Acnologia would have chased but Anna was more important at the moment.

He turned to her bleeding form laying on the ground before checking on her but it was too late.
