Chapter 2
The System

Technically speaking, Aoi thought she was out for like 10 hours or so because it was difficult opening her eyes and adjusting it to the bright surroundings. But how? The curtains in her room are thick and always closed yet why is she getting blinded by the rays of the morning sun?

After a few seconds more, Aoi was able to open her eyes and slowly squinted it, cursing the bright light shining on her right now. She groaned and got up from the bed,

Wait-

Her eyes widened as the sudden realization hits. She slowly knocked on the flooring under the sheets she sat on.

This is too hard to be a bed. My bed was soft and large.

She's usually not quick on the uptake and didn't know what happened. But what she finally realized is that she's in a different room, and a screen appeared in front of her.

Her brows almost met when she looked at it weirdly and even tried to wipe it off, but her arms just literally went through. Aoi's throat ran dry as she prepared to tire her lungs out.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!"

The nearby birds chilling on the wires of some electricity lamp post left almost immediately after hearing her scream which seemed more of a battle cry.

She couldn't help it. She was dumbfounded, eyes still glued on the cream colored screen that was still floating in front of her face. Gulping down the forming lump in her throat, Aoi heaved a breath and tried to calmly think this through.

But damn.

She can't.

I can't ASDFGHJKL-

After another round of screaming, Aoi stared at the screen again and thought of a way to get it out of her sight as soon as possible. She tried poking it again, or wiped it like how they do in tiktok videos but it wasn't working. Aoi was seriously about to lose it as she started tugging on her black hair furiously,

"Why won't you just close already you bit-Oh." her tantrum was cut off when it suddenly disappeared. "Oh. Oh. Oh. Okay. I see how it is now." Aoi smugly nodded to herself and slowly got up from the floor.

The damned screen probably reacted when I said close.

But now how do I open it again?
