Marco The Phoenix One-shots

Videogame night (Modern AU)

"A-A-Ace look out- LOOK OUT,  YOU IDIOT, SHE'S BEHIND YOU!"Sabo and Luffy screamed as they were playing Resident Evil 7.

"If you keep SCREAMING AT ME I WONT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY FROM HER!" Ace cried out, barely dodging the enemy.

The five brothers were all around the living. Sabo, Luffy and Ace close to the TV as you were sandwich between Thatch and Marco.

You were hiding behind a pillow (head peaking out) while Marco and Thatch were having kick of the younger people and Thatch was nudging Luffy with the tip of their sock covered toes.

This is when shit went down. Luffy let out a horrified scream as Ace and Sabo followed suit and clung to each other while the cackling of their elder brothers broke past their screams. You scolded both of them with a slap to the wrist and asked for the controller. You've played this game before, you got this.

And hour later you regret your decision.

"Fuck! Run run run run run MOVE GODDAMNIT MOOOOOOVE!" You squealed as you were being chased down by a half wasp hybrid and were now currently trying to dodge her attacks when a sudden 'bzzzt' and a poke to your ribs through you off and the controller went flying. You looked like you were trying to hold it in but the cry of desperation managed to escape as Marco was having a blast scaring the living shit outta you.
This kept going for at least half hour more until you gave up and turned off the PlayStation.

"I think it's time for bed, guys." Thatch said with a yawn. Marco following suit while he picked up a snoozing Luffy and nudged Ace awake carefully while Sabo organized the living room a bit. "Have a goodnight guys." You said softly as you scampered to your room, sock covered feet thumping lightly as you went inside and got comfy in your guest room.

An hour later, you were finally able to sleep when you snapped your eyes opened at the sound of a creaking door and soft patter of the feet.

"Can I sleep here tonight? I'm still a little creeped out..." the youngest, Luffy, mumbled as you sat up and made space next to you (the guest room had a king size bed like most of the rooms in the house. However: in Pops' room it had to be a California king for obvious reasons).

"Sure thing, honey, come here." You said with a sleepy smile as you helped Luffy get comfortable and he automatically drifted once his head hit the pillow (and maybe cause you were gently petting his hair).

You didn't even get the Luxury to fall asleep when you hear a familiar creaking and two heads of shaggy hair, one blonde and one black, frowning and asking if they could sleep with you. You nodded with another smile and they made quick work of getting comfortable next to Luffy.

Passing out.

An hour later you woke up to the sight of Thatch getting comfortable at the bottom of the bed (he was living the life at this point since no ones feet were bumping against him and you shrugged.

You felt your phone buzz under your pillow and opened it to find a text from Marco.

[Marco: Sleepover and you didn't invite me? I'm wounded, (Y/LN)]

You smirked and replied [Y/N: then haul ass here, my sweet pineapple]

[Marco: Ugh, I really hate that nickname but cool, be there in a min]

With that: You put your phone beneath the pillow once more waited for your last boy to head in.

It didn't take much.

You didn't have to lift your head from the pillow when you felt strong arms around your waist, pulling you flush against a taught body and hot breath against your neck.

"Luffy started, didn't he-yoi?" Marco whispered, snuggling the crook of your neck as you snuggled in more. "Yup, then they all came by filtration." You whispered back as he gave you a small kiss on the back of your head and cuddled you to sleep.

Oh, how you love this family. Even if they wake you up in the middle of the night for an impromptu sleepover.
