"Karl what are you doing? We were supposed to be going to buy supplies by now!" Chris shouts from the other side of the room.

I didn't really pay attention to what he was saying since I was all caught up in basically stalking Mya's Instagram. All I could think of what how beautiful she was. She really was one the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. If not the most beautiful.

Her smile, her eyes, her nose, just her. She.
The most beautiful woman I had ever witnessed.

Before I knew it Chris snapped his fingers before my eyes.

"Karl look up from your phone and lets go- wait, who's that?" Chris asked as an excited expression was getting painted over his entire face. I quickly turned off my phone before shoving it into my pocket.

"It's no one." I lied, standing up to get my car keys. "Karl you suck at lying. She's the reason you've been on your phone so much recently, isn't she?"

I looked over at him before turning away, trying to hide my blushing cheeks. "Shut up." I joke as I go outside.

"I wasn't lying, was I?" He asks as we both sit down in the car. I start the engine, not wanting to admit it, but sooner or later I do.

"You weren't."

"No fucking way! Who is she? Tell me more!" Chris exclaims in excitement.
Fuck I knew this was coming

"Honestly, how we even got in touch was because I texted the wrong number, and now we've been talking for the past couple of days." I say as I make a left turn, my face still an obvious shade of red.

"So you've never met?" He asks me, clearly curious about this whole situation. "Nope, she's form South Carolina."

"Well lucky for you we're going there in just a week then." Chris chuckles. I shrug, trying to hide my inner excitement which was ready to burst out any second.

"Karl why are you trying to act cool about this? It's literally the biggest thing that has happened all year!" Chris says clearly too excited for it to even be true.

"Okay fine." I say. "It's just so weird because I barely know her but she seems like this wonderful person with the most beautiful personality ever and we've only had a couple of short conversations. It's so weird to admit since it's been so long since I've felt something like this. It's even more weird since I barely know her at all, I mean like AT ALL."

"Karl that's totally fine. I'm so happy for you! You've finally kind of found someone that you've let into your life since you basically shut down all the ideas of even beginning a relationship again. Tell me more about her! Well, as long as you don't become a simp, even though, technically you already are."

"Well her name is Mya, Mya Campbell and she is a student at Columbia, her major is biology. She stays up very late for some odd reason I don't know and she apparently likes to go on walks at 2am which maybe isn't the best thing ever. But I mean, she seems like a very chill person over all from my experiences talking to her."

I couldn't help but just let out all the excitement that I felt about her to Chris. It wasn't until then that realized I was totally crazy about this girl already. I know, I'm fully aware that it might be weird since I basically don't even really know her age yet. But something about her just made my stomach do backflips.

I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket as Chris shoved the last gallon of milk into the back of my car. I picked up my phone and I immediately started smiling wider than ever.

"It's her, isn't it?" Chris asks as he closes the back of the car. I nod at him, reading the message.

'When are you going to SC?'

"She asked me when I'm coming to South Carolina." I say happier than ever.
Gosh Karl get that fucking smile off your face you look like a fool.

"Well tell her! You should definitely ask if you should meet up." Chris suggests. "I'm sure she doesn't want to." I say sadly as I look down at the message, wondering what I should respond.

"Karl don't be an idiot, she wouldn't ask you when you're coming to South Carolina if she wasn't interested in meeting you." Chris says as he got into the front seat. I do the same, sitting down in the drivers seat.

"You're right." I say before I started typing my message.
'In exactly a week today! Why?'

"Should I ask why she's wondering?" I ask Chris for advice as I start the engine. My heart was beating faster than ever. What was wrong with me?

"Go for it." I nervously clicked the 'send' button before we started driving back to the warehouse. During the whole ride I had a hard time concentrating on driving. All that was in my head was her. Mya. I just simply couldn't get her out of my mind, and it was honestly kind of disturbing.

However, when we arrived at the warehouse I got another notification at the perfect timing, just as we had parked the car.

'Curious'

"She says she's curious." I say in disappointment. "It's obviously because she's scared to admit why she asked you in the first place. Do you want to meet her?"

"Yeah of course! It would be amazing if I got the chance to when I am in SC." I say as I start unpacking the things from the car with my phone still in my right hand.

"Then go on and ask her! She's obviously interested in meeting you as well." Chris says.

"Okay..." I sigh as I started typing my message that I was soon going to send to her.

"Trust me, you won't regret it." Chris reassured me and with that I pressed the 'send' button a second time this hour. I felt a wave of anxiety rushing through my veins only to meet in my stomach.

'Would you be interested in meeting up once I go to SC? I want to get to know you'

Chris didn't lie. I wouldn't regret it, and the answer that I received just a couple of seconds later proved it.

'Sure, I don't see why not'
