Teen Parents (Lucaya Fanfiction) *on hold*

Chapter 1

As you know from my oneshot, in the end Lucas proposes to Maya and she says yes.

But, let's back up a couple years... The day Maya told Lucas she was pregnant.

-two years earlier-
Maya walked down the busy streets of New York City.

Her palms were sweating like crazy, and she had a huge headache.

She looked across the street to see if any cars were coming her way,

She crossed the street and went into an apartment building.

After a few minutes, she stopped in front of a door and held her stomach, which had knots in it... Not just knots though.

She knocked on the door and her boyfriend, Lucas answered it.

"Hey." He said, welcoming her with a hug.

Maya hugged back but then pulled away. "Um we need to talk..in private."

She said that as Lucas's older brother entered the room.

They went to Lucas's room and shut the door.

Maya sat in the chair and Lucas sat on the bed.

Immediately, Maya burst into tears. She couldn't help herself.

Lucas looked at her worriedly, "Maya what is wrong?"

Maya sniffled and wiped her eyes a little. "Lucas... I-I'm pregnant..."

As soon as she said those words, Lucas slowly released the hand off of her.

"I can't." he said.

"What do you mean?" Maya asked.

"I can't be the father... I'm only 17." Lucas said, pacing the room.

He then pointed at the door and said, "get out."

Tears started to sting Maya's eyes again and she wasn't expecting this to be his reaction.

"Lucas I can't do this alone..." Maya said, sniffling.

"I don't care... Just get out."

Maya was between two emotions, angry and upset, and she slammed the bedroom door behind him.

She ran home and flopped onto her bed once she got there.

She held the stomach, which wasn't that big yet since it was only a few weeks in.

"I'll try and take care of you alone... I'm going to try." She whispered.

Maya snapped out of her daydream, looking at the clock.

Lucas came in the room and looked at her, "you okay?"

Maya nodded, realizing she was just thinking about the past, "I'm fine."

Lucas planted a kiss on her head and went back to the kitchen to take care of their daughter, Annie.

Annie was almost 1 year old now.

Maya flopped back on her bed, it was nice to get rest.

She hadn't gotten a lot of that since Annie was born.

But now that Lucas was back, it'll be better.

I guess this is where our teen parents story begins....
