This Painful Secret (poem)

We had so much happy times
We used to exhange sweet lines with rhymes
The both of us were once so strong
But it seems like we can't last long

Our situation may be too hard
But i believed we're not a coward
We lose the chance to fight for our love
Maybe we forgot to ask help from above

I know that i can't make him stay
For him to be happy is what i always pray
The pain lingers from the time we said goodbye
"I'm okay." I told him but its my biggest lie.

Still, i hope our paths will cross again
It doesn't really matter when and where
I just want to be with him again someday
For my heart longs for him everyday

And now let me tell you a secret
Letting him go is what i regret
Behind my smile is the pain i feel
I love him still and i always will
