"So basically Bruce was being an asshole?"
"That's the point! He always is Jay!" Dick complained animatedly.
He flopped dramatically back into his seat with a huff that sent the hair in his face flying up wildly.
"Uh huh" Jason hummed in sarcastic agreement.
At that, the door creaked open. A tall figure walk through, slumped and sluggish before dropping into Jason's lap and wrapping their arms around his neck.
"Tough drop off?" Jason questioned.
The figure nodded before sitting up.
"She didn't want me to go."
Dick perked up in confusion, "Lian?"
They nodded again, red hair bouncing in their tired face.
"Where did you drop her off."
"Kori's." They answered hesitantly.
Dick nodded slowly. An air of silence drifted into the room as it often did when it came to the dramatics of the four people sitting together.
It was Wally who spoke first from his spot on both the couch and Dick's lap as he lay awkwardly.
"Hey Roy? Did you happen to see Mar'i while you were there?"
Roy nodded.
"How's she doing."
Roy sighed, thinking hard to pick the right words, "she's doing well. Her and Lian are having a sleepover and... honestly? I think she misses you guys."
Dick forced a small smile, "thanks Roy."
"No problem dude."
