Scammers are the only not so-fun part of the Adopt Me game. Players go around and try to take your pets and/or money, which you worked so hard for. This chapter is going to be all about different kinds of scams, and. How to avoid them.
1. The Bubble Letter Scam: Honestly, this one would be really easy to pull of, not gonna lie. But I wouldn't recommend it because it would also be very obvious. The scam works like this. The scammer says something along the lines of "ABC if you want bubbles letters for your pet's name!" An unsuspecting player says yes, and accepts a trade from the scammer. If they try to trade, say, a dog, the scammer might be like "I only do legendaries." The player would give them their precious dragon, only for the both of them to accept the trade and for the scammer to leave the game, taking our pet and all the work it took to get it with them.
2. The YouTube Scam: (This one actually happened to me.) A Player might ask you if you want to help them with their YouTube video. Usually on Roblox, it can be cool to meet a YouTube in-game even if you've never heard of them. The way the scam works is they ask other players for help, and if they say yes, the scammer tells them to put in their most valuable pets into trade and accept it, promising they'll decline after they take a screenshot. But of course, they don't decline. They accept, taking your most valuable pet and leaving the game.
3. The Trust Trade Scam: Out of all the scams I've mentioned, this is the most obvious. If someone says "ABC TO TRUST TRADE" then don't go for it. A trust trade is when someone asks for a ride or fly pet to "test it out." I can see how someone who's never experienced a ride or fly pet would want to, but scamming isn't the right way to go. Anyway, if you accept the trust trade, they will most likely take your pets and leave the game.
4. The Lemonade/Hot dog scam: some scammers use their various stands to scam people for money. They say something like, "abc if you want this leg (legendary) pet!" And if somebody says yes, they'll get out their food stand and tell them to buy x amount of food. But, of course, they won't give you the pet you payed for! They'll take your money and leave. But of course, this is an actual way to get a good pet, and it's less obvious that it's a scam. Trust who you like, just be careful.Well, these are all the most common scams I've seen on Adopt Me. Put in the comments f there are any more I can make people aware of, so we can protect against scammers. Thanks for reading!
