"I WILL FIND YOU!"

This was supposed to be the line you're spouting while struggling to find the mysteries of socks who just lost its pair and got all alone.

But today, it is not about socks.

The lens of your round reading glasses flared as you pinned their pictures on the red strings of the synthetic cobweb you made on your wall.

You just finished making your very own 'Crime Investigation Board'.

You adjusted your glasses and fiercely browsed the files you got on your suspects.

You flicked and flipped your pen on your fingers and did a background check.

"Background check. One, two, three, background check," you muttered as if you were sound checking a microphone.

You never felt so productive and smart in your whole life. You felt like a real detective finding for the culprit.

"Sherlock Worms?...Sherlock Owns?... Sherlock Holes?...ah right!... Detective Conan...Detective Conan must be shaking right now," you muttered as you flashed a wide grin.

You struggled to remember the name of that famous investigator, but thanks God, that anime Conan kid exists.

You planned to keep an eye on and secretly investigate them one by one while narrowing down your list.

You need to deduce everything from scratch, so you literally started off by scratching the top of your head while pretending to brainstorm.

But before everything else, you looked up once again in your cloud of thoughts and squeezed your brain cells to replay everything that happened that night.

---

(LAST FRIDAY NIGHT)

It was already deep in the night when you went upstairs to clean up after the mess in the building's lounge room.

In exchange of your cheap rent, the landlady just made you an apartment helper slash her janitress in distress.

You sighed hard the moment your eyes met the chaos.

You felt like crying. Yes, you were ready to make all the tables turn.

It was worse than cleaning a kindergarten's messy room.

Empty bottles of beer were scattered down the floor.

The smell of liquor lingers inside the room.

The dangling lights were broken. The bulbs were flashing on and off.

The television was on with some 3D gun games flashed on the screen.

You turned the TV off.

The joysticks, the remote, and a box of the newest game console were scattered down the floor.

Bag of chips. Crumbs. Microphone. Phones. Pillows. Bag of chips. Crumbs.

Everything was lying down the floor!

And that 'everything' includes the bunch of full-grown men lying drunk on the floor!

"How am I supposed to clean this if they were on the floor?!" you complained.

With a heavy heart, you diligently picked up the trashes.

You mentally cursed and complained!

You turned on the vacuum and started cleaning the crumbs off the floor.

You were careful enough not to suck one of them inside your vacuum.
