Chapter 16~ I Have To Confess

So sorry for no update! My phone broke but I'm back now! Haha!

~ Groff's POV ~

The show was amazing! The cast had decorated the box with more balloons and banners! We found a bag of candy on each of our seats and a card signed from the entire cast and crew.

We went backstage once again after the show to congratulate our friends before making our way back home.

"Groffy?"

Lin said as we finished getting him settled on the sofa.

"What's been bothering you?"

He asked as I sat next to him, feeling perplexed.

"Nothing? What do you mean?"

I replied questioningly.

"There's been something on your mind recently. You haven't been sleeping properly and you keep drifting off into worried thought. I know the accident was hard on you but there's something else isn't there?"

He went on. Suddenly it dawned on me, but it was not the right time to tell him.

"Please tell me. I can't bare to see you so troubled."

He pleaded noticing my expression change.

"I can't Lin, I was going to wait till after you were out of your chair and everything back to normal."

"Whatever it is we will face it together. It's not fair on you to have to keep it to yourself. It's slowing crushing you and I can't watch
any longer."

I felt myself slowing giving in and crumbling.

"Vanessa came round when you were in hospital, and well, she's... pregnant."

I said analysing his face. I was so scared for his reaction. Pippa helped to calm me but she didn't completely reassure me.

"What?"

Lin said obviously in shock, tears welling in his eyes.

I didn't want to confess the next part but I knew I had to.

"She... she said that either you go back to her or she will abandon the baby after it's born."

I staggered.

"Oh my god. How could she do that."

Lin cried out as I broke down into a spiral of fear, guilt and anxiety.

"Groff, Groff listen to me."

He said clasping my hands.

"I would never leave you, no matter what. If she abandons the baby then it will surely come to me? Won't it? You know I've always wanted kids but I would never dream of leaving you, even for a chance of a child."

I snuggled close to him as his words soothed me. After a while and cuddling Lin asked,

"Would you mind having the child with us? Would it work out what with Hamilton? I know we haven't spoken about having kids but, do you think you are ready?"

"Lin, I would love to keep the child. I know how happy it would make you and to have a mother like Vanessa this child needs all the love and care possible. We can give it that. Together."

"I love you."

Lin said putting his arm around me once again. A huge grin of excitement growing on his lips.

"I love you too Lin."

I replied kissing him on the cheek.
