Chapter 6~ Im Sorry Mom.

~ Groffs POV ~

I awoke to Lins body spooning mine.

I turned my head towards him. He was still asleep, looking so beautiful, his eyes closed, his face peaceful.

I slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake my little linamon roll.

I had the best idea! I was going to make his favourite, chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast!

After slaving over the stove I quietly snuck back into the bedroom.

"Morning Lin!"

I said quietly sitting next him as stoking his long Hamilton hair.

His body moved as he awoke from his sleep. He smiled up at me with his little grin.

"Morning Groffy"

He smiled sleepily looking up at me.

"My Groffy"

He said, bopping me on the nose before lifting his head to kiss me.

"I have a surprise for you!"

I jumped up from the bed leaving him with an excited look on his face.

"What is it!"

He said jumping off the other side.

"You will have to wait and see!"

I chuckled loving his enthusiasm. We walked through to the kitchen hand in hand.

As soon as he saw the table laid with pancakes and syrup he ran forward with an excited gasp.

"Awww, you shouldn't have"

He whined stretching his arms and pulling me close.

"I wanted to."

I answered, my voice muffled from the embrace.

After breakfast we started to get ready for rehearsal later that afternoon.

"Groffy, we are going to have to tell our parents sooner or later."

This statement made panic rise in my chest.

"But Lin, I never even came out to them. You know what their like."

Lin took my hand in his,

"It's all going to be ok. I promise."

We sat on the end of the bed as Lin picked up his phone and pressed his moms number.

I could tell he was nervous so I put my arm around his neck pulling him in.

"Hey mom, can I talk to you and dad?"

"Sure honey, hold on one second."

I herd Lins mom answer. Lin looked at me with a look of helplessness. I smiled at him, showing him that I knew he could do it.

"Hi guys, you know my best friend Jonathan Groff?"

"Yes darling."

"Well, ummm, We are dating."

"Oh."

I heard Lins dad exclaim.

"Mum, dad, please support me. I'm sorry."

"Hey, son we are proud of you, we love you. It's just a bit of a shock."

Lins dad staggered.

"We love you so much darling, we will support you through anything sweetheart."

Lins mum said sounding on the verge of happy tears. Lin glanced at me with tears in his eyes too.

"When can we meet him? We have only seen him briefly."

Lins parents asked.

"Soon guys, thank you so much, I have to go now, love you."

"We love you son."

We heard trailing of as Lin ended the call.

"Now it's my turn."

I said quietly.

"Don't worry my love, whatever happens I am here, forever and always."

Lin picked up my phone silently and dialled my moms number. I took the phone in my hand shaking, my pulse heightening.

"I can't Lin."

I say eventually cutting the line. Lin pulled me towards him and clasps my hands.

"You can do this Groffy, I believe in you. I'm here."

This gives me a new sense of confidence as I dial her number once again. She picks up.

"Jonathan Groff, is that you? You haven't called me in weeks. How dare you not speak to your mother for that long. You could have been dead for all I knew."

She spat down the phone. Her tone made me flinch and I prepared for her wrath.

"Mom I have something important to tell you."

"It better be bleeding important, I'm at the bloody nail salon."

She screamed down the phone.

"Umm, I'm... I'm gay and I'm with Lin."

"YOUR WITH WHO!"
