It was a long day at work, she reached home late
Guess he was already asleep, she hoped he ate
They had a fight this morning ,it was just the worst
They hadn't spoken all day,she needed to apologise first
She told him she's leaving and would never come back
He promised her he'd change, begged her to not do that
But she had walked away ,slamming the door behind
She realised she was so stupid, couldn't get him off her mind
It wasn't her speaking, it was just the anger
The thought of leaving him ,that wouldn't even occur
She was just having rough times at work
And emptied her frustration on him like a jerk
She loved him way too much and she was really sorry
She needed to apologise and end this misery
Tell him how much she loved him and how much he really meant
That the fight earlier this morning was just an insignificant event
She walked into the room and switched on the light
What lay before her was only horror to her sight
She picked up a note that was lying on the bed
"I can't live without you" was all the little note read
Her face turned pale and tears streamed down her eyes
On the ground lay her husband, in a pool of blood, cold as ice
He couldn't really accept that she was going away
No he couldn't live without her, there was not a way
He had given out himself wholly to her
She was gone now, there was no life after
He took out the gun, and left her a note
Maybe she wouldn't even bother to see what he wrote
He placed the cold tip of the gun to his head
He fell to the floor lifeless and dead
And that night from work when she returned home
He had already left, he was really gone
