Jisung raced through the base, his breaths quite laboured as he snuck towards the weaponry room.
The footsteps, which were three stories above him, had long since faded as he faced the locked metal door.
There was a killer chill throughout the air, considering the further down in the building he went, the colder it got. Taeyong has refused to pay such expensive bills for a relatively unused floor.
Jisung cringed as his hand came in contact with the ice cold door. Why can't you just splurge for once? Jisung thought as he placed his hand on the fingerprint detector.
There was a loud buzz, closely followed by a thud if the lock sliding open.
The teen pushed against it, sighing when it opened with a satisfying crunch.
"Can you hear me, Jisung?" Chenle's voice came through the earpiece that Jisung had been given before he left to get the weapons.
The younger replied with a soft 'yes'.
The next words came by scratchy, but still Jisung could hear it perfectly.
"I don't mean to distract you, nor do I want you to rush up here, but we've lost track of Seyeon."
Jisung felt his breath hitch as thoughts of the younger girl injured ran through his mind at lightening speed.
"I'll be up in a little bit, Lele. Tell the others that I'm on my way."
Jisung found himself battling with an unfamiliar lump in his throat. What was this emotion? Fear? Pain? He couldn't yet decipher why he felt this hurt by such meaningless words, but he did, and he wanted it to stop so desperately.
"Jisung! Jisung!"
He ignored the screeching earpiece, and instead took it out, pocketing the small device before setting off on a quick journey to gather the necessary weapons before finding the girl.
His rushed movement made the whole process take longer than required as he fumbled with guns and daggers, his heart pounding in his ears as he sorted through the finicky devices angrily.
He wanted to see Seyeon, and he wanted to see her now.
At long last he had all that was needed. So in a rushed manner, he shut the door, stumbling up flights of stairs in order to see the one thing his mind could focus on...Lee Seyeon.
"There you are, Jisung. We need to go!" Ten gripped onto his arm, leading him towards their secret exit swiftly, but he wasn't prepared for the fight he would have with the teen.
"I need to find Seyeon!" The younger whisper-yelled, pulling his arm from Ten's grip. "I need Seyeon!"
So I wasn't too proud of how this chapter ended up, but I hope you still enjoyed it even if it wasn't much good.
I'll see you guys tomorrow!
Aofa xx
