Chapter 6

"I'll be over in 5." I texted hayes as I put on mascara. "Okay, bring a bathing suit under your clothes." I received back as soon as I finished. Just as I was about down stairs, I received a text from an anonymous person "Hey bitch, it was cute how your little boy toy helped you out yesterday. Don't worry, that won't last long." I sighed as I locked my phone and put it in my back pocket. Does she just like to hurt people? Does it make her feel good? It just doesn't make since to me at all. I walked downstairs almost falling flat on my face; there's the klutz coming out of me. "Bye mom, I'm going over to Hayes' house, love you!" I said as I opened the front door. "Love you too." I heard as I closed the door. The fresh summer air hit me as I walked down the porch steps. I love the feeling of summer air, it just makes me want to, I don't know smile. When I got to Hayes' house, I knocked on the door while looking at my feet. I was wearing pink vans, black tribal print leggings, and a light blue tank top. As I was examining my outfit, I heard the door open. "Hey Angie, Hayes is upstairs." Elizabeth said as welcomed me in the door. "Thanks Elizabeth." I said as I took off my shoes after I entered the doorway. I walked up the stairs and knocked on Hayes' door. "Come in!" I heard as I opened the door. "Hey Hayeess." I said stretching out his name. "Hey Angieee." he said doing the same. "Copy much?" I asked sitting next to him. "I guess so." He said. "So, what do you want to do?" I asked having nothing I mind. "Well, I was thinking that we might go for a walk, and then chill out here and watch a movie or something." He said. "Sounds great." I said looking into his eyes as he smiled at me. "What?" I asked about how he was staring at me. "Nothing, you are just so beautiful." he said not loosing eye contact. I looked down and blushed. "Want to go for a walk now?" He asked not letting his smile off his face. "Sure." I said. We walked out the door onto the sidewalk. Hayes grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, which made butterfly's fly throughout my whole body. "Where are we walking to?" I asked Hayes swinging our arms. "You will see." Hayes said looking at me the back to the street while I let out a giggle. "I love that little giggle, that sometimes you just can't handle, you know that right?" He said as I blushed and squose his hand.
"I have no idea where we are." I said surprised. "And we are here." He said. "And still no idea." I said as I let out another giggle. "Come here." he said starting to pick up his pace, still holding my hand. "Hayes, this is beautiful." I said almost speechless as I look at the beautiful sight in front of me. there was a small wooden picnic table, a small cliff leading to a waterfall, and a handmade stone staircase leading down to it. "Not as beautiful as you." He said as I felt my cheeks heating up. "Do you want to walk by the water? Maybe go for a swim?" He asked looking at the amazing view. "Yes!" I basically screamed in his face as I started to head towards the stairs quickly. "Where did you find this place?" I asked as he joined me. "Well, Nash, Will and I used to come here basically every day over the summer. I come here whenever I need to think, or when I'm sad. We kinda made this into our hang out spot. We brought that picnic table here, and my family worked for summers long to make this staircase." he said looking at his feet as I admired the stones with every one aligned perfectly. "Woah, that must of tool you guys a very long time." I said as we got to the bottom. "Yes, but it was worth it." he said while I smiled and nodded my head. "Want to go in?" He asked as he took off his shirt. "Yeah." I said. When he took off his shirt, I couldn't help but stare. "Coming?" He said as he entered the water. "yeah." I said as I snapped out of my phase as took off my shirt and shorts revealing my bikini. I am skinny and all, it's just I am always self conscious about how I look, especially in a bathing suit. I wrapped my arms around my stomach and entered the water. Hayes must have notice that I felt self conscious because he said "Don't worry , you look beautiful." I took my arms off my stomach and went deeper towards him. "It's actually not as cold as I thought." He said as I roamed next to him. "Still think so?" I asked as I kicked his feet out from under him and pushed on his broad shoulders. I didn't see him under the water, and he has already been down there for a couple seconds. "Hayes." I said as I felt my feet being taken out from underneath me. "You are going to get it Grier!" I yelled as I splashed him. "Sorry, it was payback." Hayes laughed as he covered his face from the splashing water. "Come here." He said as he grabbed my hands and started to swim. I noticed the ground quickly lowered the farther out we went. He swam towards the bottom of the waterfall. The waterfall wasn't huge, but it was about 20 feet tall. He swam under the waterfall, having me follow him. I held my breath and swam under the waterfall, leading to a little ledge hidden from the rushing water. I jumped up onto the ledge next to Hayes. "This Is really cool." I said in astonishment looking at the view. I stuck my hand out as the water pounded on them. "Angie?" Hayes asked as I turned around and looked him in the eyes. "I've been meaning to say this for a while now. I really like you and," he said as he stopped. "do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked as he stuttered asking it. "Of course!" I said happily as both of our smiles grew and he wrapped me in his arms.
