So, it's been quite a while since I've updated, my Champions! So first and foremost, here comes good news. You ready for it?

Yes, this is an occasion for CAPITAL LETTERS! The set date to be Featured is 21/4, and I have all of you to thank for taking me this far

Yes, this is an occasion for CAPITAL LETTERS! The set date to be Featured is 21/4, and I have all of you to thank for taking me this far. This definitely marks a milestone for me on Wattpad. Now all I have to do is win a Watty, and my Wattpad bucket list will be complete...

So, onwards to the question. I'm actually close to completing my WIP, Song of the Piper (though that might change, if the characters decide to flog me and lead me down another stray path) so I've been thinking about future projects. Of course, I thought about Legacy, and what the future holds in store for Constantine and the whole gang.

However, some part of my devious little brain is urging me to completely rewrite Constantine. And by rewrite, I mean fling out probably 80% of the current plot out of the window (except for Gilbert and the necromancy—those definitely stay). For one, the book is long long long, approximately 165K words for the moment. As most of you probably know, my dream is to publish it, and at this current length, it's certainly not picking up any agents anytime soon.

So, the question. Should I give up writing Legacy and focus on the rewrite instead?

Now before all of you come at me with pitchforks, let me explain my reasoning. I'm pretty sure that even if Constantine gets published, there will be so many changes made to it that the sequel just won't be relevant anymore. So that means (approximately) 200K words—because you know how big sequels can get—flushing down the drain.

Yet there's another side to the coin. If I do write Legacy, I'll have a clearer vision of how I want Constantine's story to end (hopefully) and the draft will serve as a rudder for me in the future. Okay, cue the pitchforks.

There you go, my dilemma all laid out in front of you. Just comment to say if you think I should focus on the rewrite, or if I should press on with a sequel. Once I'm done with Song of the Piper, I'll come back here and take note of all of your opinions. Just know that no matter what you choose, I will respect you, my Champions.
