I wake up from my dream. It felt so real. What if my sister is really dead. I have to do this. I'm shaking so much. Tanya has laid and outfit out for me on the side chair. It was a grey shirt with with tan colored cargo pants. I take the last shower I could ever have. At least I have one ally, right? I dry myself of with a fuzzy towel. I wonder what landscape the arena is gonna be. Deep breath cassie, deep breath. I inhale and exhale. The anxiety was real. I put on the shirt and trousers. Then I walk to breakfast. I scoff down every last thing on my plate. I make sure to drink plenty of water. Tristan is wearing a navy green shirt with the same fan pants as me. Tanya then does my hair in one French braid down my back. Then I walk to the elevator. I'm not ready for this. I feel my heart in my throat as I step into the elevator with Johanna.
"I'm so nervous, I'm not ready for this." I say shaking Johanna puts her hands on my shoulder.
" Your gonna be ok, find water, don't run into the cornucopia, it's a trap to get you killed, stick with your allies, ok? " she says calmly I take a deep breath
"Ok." I say quietly we reach the top the hovercraft awaits
" Goodbye, Johanna. " I say she smiled sadly and waved I walk to the hovercraft and step on the ladder. It freezes me in love and pulls me up. Once I'm at the top I unfreeze and sit down. I'm in the same hovercraft with all the other tributes. The tributes that are gonna die in less then an hour. A lady in a white coat come around to me
"Give me your arm." I put my arm out and she sticks a needle in my arm, I think it's my tracker. The ride takes about half an hour. After the ride we are taken to the catacombs below the arena. There are so many thoughts racing in my head. I don't wanna die. I don't want Aleece to die. I enter my room and I see a glass tube a coat rack with a maroon coat and a couch that Tanya is sitting on. Tanya gives me a hug.
"I heard about your sister I'm so sorry." My eyes fill with tears.
" But I have this. " she hands my a pocket necklace with a picture of my dad, my dear mom, and now my dear sister. I take it and squeeze it.
" Thank you. " I whisper. I put it on my pocket. I've never been so scared. I'm breathing really heavily I try to take deep breaths and rub my locket.
"Ten seconds till launch" a calm voice says I look at the glass tube. This is it. Tanya puts the red maroon coat on my and I walk to the tube. I step into it. It encloses me, I look at Tanya and she nods. I nod back at her. The tube begins to rise I feel dizzy but I can still stand. It takes about fifteen seconds to get all the way up. I know that if I step off my podium early I'll be blown to bits. I look around me and see all the other tributes. The district 1 girl is standing next to me. Aleece is three people away from me. I look at here. Then I look at the cornucopia, it's stacked with backpacks weapons food, and much more stuff
"Ladies and gentlemen, let the seventy -Nineth annual hunger games begin." I here a voice say. The countdown begins.

The gong sounds
I jump off my podium inside of we're to run that's when I see it. The bloodbath. Woodly has already racked up two kills, the girl from six, and the boy from 10. I see a backpack and run for it. A dead boy falls with an axe in his back right by my feet, he also has a small bag I take the ads outta his back and his little bag along with my big backpack and run. Unfortunately i get tackled to the ground by Crystal. She gets on top of my and starts swinging a sickle at me. I dodge it. I found out I'm stronger then her and kick her in the leg she calls of f me and I get up as quickly as I can and run off with my things. I still didn't know we're Aleece was. I hope she hadn't got killed. I run faster and faster. I keep running till I collapse. I think I was running for about twenty minutes. I fall on the bark. The arena was like district seven. It was a forest. The boy that fell at my feet was from district four I think. Once I get back up I keep running I find a nice try with good gripholes and climb up it. I had an axe covered with blood, at least I got a weapon I sit on the highest thickest branch there is. I lean I put the axe in my lap and look in the big backpack I had grabbed. It had a sleeping bag attached to it, that's handy. I open it up to find a long rope, a box of matches, coil, two packets of dried fruit, an apple, and empty three liter bottle for water, a bottle iodine, and a box of crackers. Wow that was a lot of stuff. A Canon startled me. Followed by another and another. I counted thirteen in all. I put my big bag on my lap as well and looked at the little bag I took from the dead boy. It was a medical bag. How nice I thought to myself. It had fever pills, bandaids, burn ointment, and cough medicine. I put all the stuff back in the little bag. I also decided to put the little bag in the big bag to save me carrying stuff. I wasn't very good at hunting but I guess I would have to try. I attach my sleeping bag to my bag and grab my axe and climb down. I did learn how to make a snare trap in training so I decided I would set up a snare. I grabbed so twigs and leafs and set it and hid. Soon a rabbit came along into it. The snare killed the rabbit and then I took out all it's fur and set a fire. Thankfully it wasn't dark get so I could still make one. I cooked the rabbit and saved it for later. I stomped on the fire and it went out. I found another good tree just as it was getting dark. I set up my sleeping bag on a good sturdy fat branch. I go out my rope and secured myself to the branch. And I put my bag in the crook of the tree. I held onto my axe in case of a surprise attack. I'm just about to go to sleep when I hear the anthem play I look behind me and see a square in the sky saying fallen tributes first there was the boy from three, then both from four, both from five, the girl from six, both from eight, the boy nine, the boy from 10, the girl from 11, and both from 12 and then it ended. My heart lit up! Aleece was still alive. So was Tristan, but he was working with the careers. I somehow fall asleep.
I wake up in my house yet again. I sigh and look out my window, it's raining. I like it when it's raining so I smile. I get out of bed and walk down the hall. I see my dad and my sister watching the seventy fourth hunger games. Back when my sister was alive. I remember that year so well. There was the girl from twelve they called her the girl on fire. Then the games began. The careers that year looked vicious hunting down each tribute one by one. I remember when the careers trapped her when she was on top of a tree, they waited for her, but she dropped a tracker jacker nest on them. Then there was that little girl she teamed up with, Rue I think that was her name, she got killed by the boy from one, but then fire girl killed him with her bow. She sang a song for her as she died. I cried when that happened, she was so young. Then there was the feast, we're fire girl had to get medicine for her boyfriend(I was young then so I gave them names) who's leg was really bad. Then the girl from two threw a knife at her and almost killed her, but then the big boy from eleven smashed her head with a rock. Then the end were fire girl, her boyfriend, and the boy from two were on top of the cornucopia. Fire girl shot the boy from two in the hand and her boyfriend pushed him over and he fell off and the mutts ate him. At the end fire girl and her boyfriend didn't want to be with out each other so she pulled out nightlock berries for them to eat. They said they couldn't be with out each other. They both ate them before the announcement said that they could both win. They died holding each other. I stood there just watching it replay.
"Dad?" I say he turns around
" What's this? " I ask pointing to the hologram tv
"Remember we're watching the seventy fourth hunger games. I look at the hologram tv we were at the part we're Rue gets impaled. I look at the hologram, the sadness in her eyes, the fear in fire girls eyes. Tears fill my eyes when she sings to Rue.
"This is all a dream." I say expressionless my dad looks at me and signs
" I know what's happening, your gonna be ok, don't let this change you, you'll make it, I believe in you Cassie. " he smiles then he starts to fade away then my sister does too and the house goes dark I fall to floor crying.
"I promise Dad... I promise ."
