So close (a hunger games story)

Aleece

I wake up and it seems like it's morning I yawn and eat two crackers. I untie myself and and lack my things up and climb down the tree. I was gonna try and find Aleece. I needed to find some water or I would start to get dehydrated. I was walking for maybe about and hour when I heard rushing water. A river!!? I ran to wear the noise was coming from. I found it with rushing water I ran to it and dropped to my knees to fill my bottle up. Then I added the suggested amounts of iodine. Then I had to wait thirty minutes so I sat my the river. I know that was really risky because anyone could see me but I did anyways. That's when I heard a scream nearby then I heard a canon. That didn't sound like Aleece. This seemed really suspicious so I started to pack up my things when I heard laughing. I saw four figures coming towards the lake. Oh no. I'm dead. One of them she's me and points me out. Then they all started running towards me. That was my queue to start running. I threw on my bag with my water safe inside and I grabbed my axe. I couldn't fight four almost adults who were way bigger then me. I ran into the forest. I could hear running and laughing close behind me. No, I was faster and stronger then them. They didn't have to haul almost one hundred pound logs around. Even though I was tired I picked up the pace. I stopped I could still hear them but they weren't as close. I was panting. I looked around for a good tree to climb, but I didn't see any. But then I saw them again and knew I had to just climb one. I started climbing one to the left. Pulling myself up took the rest of the strength in my body. I was up high enough to stop and take a break. I looked down and they had just found me. Good thing I was up here. They were looking up at me.I didn't say anything but wondered what would happen next. Would they stay there till I can down.

"Can't stay up there forever, seven." The girl from two mocked she had her hair done in a long ponytail down her back. I looked down again 

" Oh yes I can, watch me. " I say mockingly two can play at this game. But then I notice them talking to each other in hushed voices. Then the boy from 1 starts to climb the tree. Oh my god, I'm gonna die. Day two and I'm gonna die. He's getting closer and closer when I realize that there is another tree branch that's reaching out. I think I can jump to it. I was small enough to not break it. I don't know about that guy he was kinda bulky. So I stood up grabbed my things and ran on the branch and jumped to the branch. I made it with out it snapping. I pulled myself up. I decided i would just keep hoping around in the trees till they got tired and fell asleep. Then I would make a run for it. Branch to branch. But they kept finding me. Night was coming. So I just decided to stay in that one tree. They camped right underneath the tree I was on so I just sat there for awhile. Eventually the one who was supposed to be keeping guard fell asleep. Now's my chance!! I ever so quietly climbed down the tree almost tripping on the girl from one. I jumped over them quietly. But then I felt something grab my foot. Oh God please no. I turned around to see the boy from one holding my foot I fell over. He woke up the rest of the group. 

 "Thought you could escape, huh?" I didn't say anything. when I fell I threw my axe out of my reach. I tried to back away but I bumped into something. Then something I bumped into was a someone, it was the girl from two. They had there weapons ready to slaughter me. I just hoped it was quick and painless. I closed my eyes tight and waited for death. But nothing happened. I opened one of my eyes. 

 "Oh were not gonna kill you that fast, we're gonna make it slow and make you suffer." The boy from two says. The next thing I know I'm being yanked off the ground me still having my hands over my head and being pinned to a tree with a knife. My feet were dangling off the ground and the knife was too far in the tree to take it out. This was it, I was gonna die a slow and painful death. I knew that if I screamed as loud as I could someone would come and kill them and even me. But if they did come I would die a fast death.

"Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I scream as loud as I could they all looked startled and looked nervous because even they knew someone would come with that loud of screaming. Somehow they had tape in their bag. So they put it over my mouth to prevent me from screaming.

"Mmmmmmmmm!!!" I try to get out a muffled scream 

" No one's coming to help you, seven. " the girl from two says she comes over to me and she has a knife in her hand that she borrowed from the boy from who who chose knives as his weapons. She puts the knife against my cheek and carves a seven into my cheek. She does another seven on my other cheek which are bleeding badly now. I feel tears in my eyes. 

"You gonna cry, seven?" I wish they would stop calling me that. All of a sudden I hear a noise coming from the bushes. Then I see Aleece and another boy come out they both had swords in there hands tackling the careers. First Woodly goes because I hear his canon. Then Crystal gets stabbed in the stomach by the boy. Her canon goes. The pair from two runs off. I'm still stuck to a tree while all this is happening. Aleece takes the tape off me and the boy takes the knife out of my shirt. I get a better view and it's Toby! I land on the ground with a thud. Theres blood coming from my face, the blood is all over my hands. I try to stand up but feel faint, then I feel dizzy. Then the world goes black. 

     I open my eyes and stare at the ceiling. No, not again I say to myself. I throw the itchy covers off me and walk to the window. It seems different this time. Everything looks very and gloomy. There are people being whipped outside my house. I'm startled at ever sound of the crack of the whip. This isn't the district seven I know. I mean yeah people get whipped but not this many. I keep looking outside and there are tons of people down the street being whipped. I gasp, I'm not scared, just startled. I walk out of my room and see my dad sitting on the sofa with his min t tea.I run my fingers through my tangly hair. 

"Dad, why do I keep coming back here ?" I ask he doesn't reply

" Dad....? " I walk slowly to the sofa that he's sitting on

"There all gone" he says looking crazy. 

" All my girls are gone. " he says scratching his face. He stands up shaking then smashes his cup against the floor. The tea flows along the creases in the floorboards. 

"Dad?" I say he turns to look at me. He doesn't look right he was white as a ghost and had bloodshot eyes. I don't panic. 

"Why do I keep coming back here?" I ask more firmly he looks at me more softly and come and sits my me.

" sweetie your confusing your self with dreams and reality. " he says

"So your saying this is real?" I ask with a confused face

" Yea whatever your dreaming about its just a dream sweetie. " 

" But it's not, I'm in the hunger games fighting to stay alive, I wish I was back home with you. " I feel tears in my eyes.

"You are with me though." He says

" I wish that were true but it isnt" I say I'm crying now

"Sweetie, your gonna be ok ...it's gonna be ok..." He starts to fade away and now I'm completely by myself.

I wake up and find Toby sitting by me and Aleece scratching at a nearby tree. I sit up and am about to touch my face. 

" You shouldn't touch it it's still healing. " Toby says Aleece now sees that I'm up. She runs over to me and sits down and hugs me. I hit her back. 

"What happened" I ask

"Well you were being tortured by those guys from one and two. After we heard screaming me and Toby and I came running over. Then we saved you and you passed out from bleeding." She says

" Oh" is all I mange to get out I look at Toby and look at Aleece.

"So are you and Toby and alliance now?" I ask

" yeah I saw Aleece run off with a backpack and I followed her thinking she would lead me to you. She caught me and thought that I was going to kill her, but I wasn't. I asked if she knew we're you were, but she said she was doing the same thing. We eventually made an alliance and went looking for you. " Toby says. He was looking for me? To kill me. When was he looking for me?

"Your were...looking for me?" I ask him . He blushes. Aleece giggles.

" to make and alliance with you. I meant to ask you in training but I got nervous.

" Well I would love to ally with you" he smiles I stand up and grab my things that are sitting my the tree I was perched up against. 

"Lets keep moving" I say
