Kaden: i can't believe your making me do this

Shanise: it's a weeding not a school

Kaden: i'd prefer school right now

Jake's new wife came up to kaden and shanise

Mary: hey I'm glad you could make it, it's good to see you

Kaden: you too

Mary: you must be......Shanise

Shanise: yeah, congratulations on your wedding

Kaden: Congratulations

Adam: i guess we're brother now (he put his hand out for kaden to shake it)

Kaden: you aren't my problem (he ignored the handshake)

Jake: oh hey I'm glad your here (he smiled at kaden)

Kaden: (he smiled and looked down)

Mary: lets go say hi to your cousins

Jake: enjoy (Jake and Mary walked away)

Shanise smiled at kaden)

Shanise: lets just have fun

Kaden: i can't

Shanise: why not (she smiled)

Kaden: you made me promise to be on my best behaviour (he smirked)

Jake and Mary were doing a toast

Jake: (he tapped the glass getting everyones attention) thank you all for coming, tonight we celebrate a great woman, her name is Mary and i am blessed with not one but two brilliant sons, kaden and Adam

(Jake looked at kaden)

Jake: i remember when i used to listen to kaden read and recite poems, from memory

Kaden whispered to Shanise

Kaden: he isn't the same man i grew up with, my father was drunk constantly

Shanise: at least he's trying, which is more than my father ever did for me

Kaden: (he looked at his dad)

Shanise: people change

Kaden: clearly, this still doesn't change what happened (he looked at Shanise with pain)

Shanise: what happened

Kaden: (he went silent) one night when i was seven, my dad was at the pub, drunk as usual, he messed with the wrong people

Kaden: they came to our house for payback, he wasn't there, they found my mom instead, i tried to stop them but i couldn't

Kaden: wanna go dance
