It was not making sense. Why would he fall pregnant? It was ridiculous. He had to go and let Mew know about these absurd results.

"Please give me a copy." With shaky nervous hands, he got the copy and left for Mew's hospital. All the way to Mew, he couldn't think straight. All the signs pointed to pregnancy from the beginning. The way he started having mood swings, the way he started eating double portions of food, his swollen legs and foot, sleeping, and feeling tired. It all pointed to pregnancy but he thought it was absurd. In what world was that possible? How could it be normal? He was a male, so there was no chance whatsoever. However, it became a reality. A reality staring at him in the face. A reality no one prepared him for.

When he got to Mew's hospital, it was getting dark, meaning Mew was about to get done. He looked for him from the moment he stepped inside the hospital. He went to the doctor's offices where Mew usually rests, and he saw p'Bright in the office.

"P' I'm looking for P'Mew,"

"Are you ok? you look pale,"

"P'Mew, I'm looking for P'Mew it's urgent."

"He just left for the professor's office. You can wait in here with me. Would you like to sit down and catch a a breath? You look flustered."

Gulf shook his head no. "Where is the professor's office? I need to see him right now."

"Ok, I'm sure you can catch him before he gets there, go down the hall and you'll see offices to your left, the professor's office is the last one on that hallway."

Gulf left the room running and he saw Mew turning on a corner. He rushed after Mew to catch him before he went in the office, but he was a little bit late. He saw Mew going in and closing the door. He contemplated knocking and going inside too but he decided to wait. Gulf stood outside the door waiting. Gulf was busy minding his own business in his head when suddenly his ears started paying more attention to the surroundings. It didn't help that what they were saying was loud enough for him to hear.

"Please take a seat," the professor offered as soon as Mew went in.

"So the director is doing a follow up on your research experiment. He has been asking about it for months and would like a report. I'm also curious about the progress. I would like to know how far you've gone. You refused to let the hospital involved so we don't know anything. Is there any progress?"

"I've started noticing changes, the symptoms definitely show pregnancy and there has not been any complications so far."

"What are the symptoms?"

"Nauseous, food cravings, sleeping and swollen legs. He fainted once probably because of fatigue and working too."

"I would suspect he is three months in?"

"Yes, he is,"

"What about the medicine? Is he still taking them?"

"I've reduced the dosage,"

"When do you intend to stop?"

"At five months,"

"Stop at 6 months. It'll help the baby settle well in the uterus."

"Yes sir."

"I think that's all for now. But we still need a written report."

"Ok thank you sir,"

As Mew was getting up to leave, the prof asked,

"Who is the father of the baby?"

Mew scratched his head, "I am."

"Well congratulations Dr Suppasit. That was a great choice. The connection between the research subject and the researcher is important. In addition, male pregnancy is so rare and dangerous that's why we were surprised that you took on that research topic. I'm proud that you saw it to the end."

"Thank you prof."

Mew left the room and went back to the office. He got in and saw Bright preparing to leave.

"Nong is already gone?" Bright asked curious.

"Which Nong?" Mew was confused.

"Nong Gulf. He came looking for you, I thought you saw him."

Mew shook his head. "I was with the professor all this while I didn't see him."

"I told him you went to the prof and he came after you."

"Does he even know the office?"

"I gave him directions."

"How long ago was it?"

"About ten minutes ago."

"I didn't see him."

"If you didn't, he should've come back and waited for you here, do you think something happened to him? It's not like him to leave without saying bye. "

"Shit," Mew paled, "Cover for me please,"

He ran out hoping to catch Gulf before he left. He ran to the entrance, but he didn't see anyone. If Gulf came to the professor's office, then he probably heard his discussion with the prof.

He took out his phone and started calling Gulf, but he was not picking up. It was becoming clear what had happened. Mew went back and told Bright that he was leaving early. He took off his doctor's coat and left. He drove home, his heart in his hands and all the way he kept on trying to call Gulf.

When he got home, he raced inside only to find Gulf with a handful of pills and a glass of water.
