Gulf ended the call and laid in bed looking at the ceiling. He could feel his muscles starting to get tense again. He looked around and he sat up. Mew came in a few minutes later.
"Are you feeling ok?" He asked calmly as he stood by the door.
Gulf ignored him. How could he ask such a question when he clearly knew that he was not ok?
"Can I come closer?" Gulf looked at him and looked away. He was giving Mew the silent treatment. Mew came in the room and hesitantly sat at the foot of the bed.
"I'm sorry." He started, "I'm sorry that I did this without asking but you need to hear me out,"
"Go ahead,"
"I've always wanted a family. My own family. To me, a marriage is not complete without a baby. I didn't want you to go through the painful process of having a baby." Mew spoke with a soft voice, carefully expressing his feelings.
"I never said I wanted a baby. You should have asked me." Gulf responded lowly too. His voice hoarse from crying.
"I thought we were on the same page."
"But still that wasn't right. You should have asked for consent."
"I did a thorough research. My research was about male pregnancy. I did it to make sure you'll not be affected or have any complications during all this. I never intended to harm you in any way. I just wanted you to carry my baby. I might have gone about it the wrong way but still I wanted a family with you. The moment I saw you, I wanted to experience all the good things with you,".
Gulf sighed, "all I hear are just excuses,"
"Tell me what you want me to do." Mew thought finding the way forward was ideal in this situation.
"I want to leave this house. I want nothing to do with you. If you can do all this without telling me then I don't know how far you'll go the next time I let my guard down. I don't know what else you'll do to me or the extent you'll go. Forget about medical malpractice, p' you violated my human rights. I could sue you for all this, but I just don't want to be involved with you again both as a sub and as a husband. I'll sign the divorce papers. Please cooperate."
Mew slid from the bed and went on his knees. "Please. Please don't do this."
"From the beginning it was all about you. I gave you everything. I made everything come true for you, from your ideal date, to an ideal relationship and even an ideal marriage since I'm carrying your baby. Its everything you have always wanted. But what about me? What did I gain in all this? Forget the baby, ever since I met you what am I proud of?"
Mew was speechless.
"See. You can't even say anything."
They went quiet for a while and Gulf continued.
"Ever since I met you, I've been trying to please you and I don't like it. I want a break from you."
"What about our baby?"
"I'll give you your baby after 6 months."
"It's your baby too."
Gulf shook his head. "No. I don't want anything to do with absurdity. It's enough that I've decided to keep it."
"Please stay," Mew begged.
"I don't know what else I'll lose if I do."
"Your medicine, I have to monitor you too and the baby."
Gulf chuckled sadly, "I'm an experiment up to the end." He muttered to himself.
Mew was about to argue, but Gulf raised his hand.
