Coincidental- luwoo

Jungwoo looked at his reflection in the mirror. Brown silky hair with streaked tips greeted him, eyes glistening by the rays of sunlight. His lips were soft and full, pink in color which blended in perfectly with his skin which was as white as snow.  Dressed in a light pink t-shirt, white denim jacket and ripped jeans, Jungwoo was satisfied by how he looked.

Jungwoo always had problems with the way he looked. As an overweight child Jungwoo had been told from a very young age that he was different and needed to lose weight. Even at the tender age of six, where almost no one cared about their body, Jungwoo sat inside and did not play with the other kids because he was not confident in his body.

Jungwoo really wanted to try his hand at sports but couldn't, because of his lack of self-confidence. Whenever the teacher asked a question in class, and Jungwoo knew the answer, Jungwoo would not reply and tell his friend the answer to say to the teacher. Jungwoo missed countless opportunities and innumerable chances to prove himself because of his poor self-esteem.

This also created difficulties for Jungwoo to make friends. He did not have the confidence to take the initiative, and people thought he was unapproachable. So he only had a selective group of friends, which he couldn't even call his friends because they were terrible to him. Still, Jungwoo did not say anything back to them because he thought they might stop talking to him. Jungwoo also had social anxiety so he couldn't be alone and needed someone to be with him in school.

Jungwoo was fed up. He was sick of being the one everyone would throw looks at. He was sick of being told to stop eating whenever he touched food when he didn't even eat much. He was sick of not being able to look in the mirror. He was sick of not coming out of his room. Jungwoo was tired of constantly altering his body in his mind. He wanted to come out of this self-destructive trap that sucked all the happiness out of him. He wanted to be normal.

Jungwoo thought that in order to be happy and content and confident he needed to lose weight. He needed to look the way he always pictured in his mind. That was his only dream and only goal at the moment. He decided that to do well in life and be successful he needed to be more confident and have faith in self and the only way he would be able to do ṭhat is by loosing weight.

Jungwoo put himself on a rigorous diet. He wasn't a big eater, but still stopped eating a lot and choose to eat healthy foods. He also started working out. Jungwoo would exercise for two hours, walk for an hour, cycle for half an hour and jump on the trampoline for half an hour. Even though Jungwoo realised it was not good for his body, he didn't stop.

This plan of his worked. Jungwoo was now the ideal weight and body type he wanted to be. He became happier gradually. Jungwoo told his parents that he wanted to change school for a fresh, new start. They agreed and Jungwoo studied hard and started playing games so that he could make a good impression in his new school.

It was Jungwoos first day of school.  He was nervous and fidgety but also happy that he could finally do whatever he wanted to. He quickly took his bag and ran downstairs. He was hungry and ate cereal. His father had told him that his friend's son will drop him off and show him around on his first day, as he also went to the same school.
