Prologue

I ran, and I ran until my legs felt weak. But, no more running. I had finally done it. Fulfilling my destiny, rather dramatic it sounded but it was what it was.

I held it tightly in my fist as a thousand of my lifetimes flashed before my eyes- each left unfulfilled by poison, war, hate, fear and most importantly, greed. Untimely death spilled my blood countless times. And maybe, this would end the same way too, but not in vain, not this time.

Laced with deceptions and falsehood, he stood before me, ready to kill me for once and for all. Slowly, I opened my fingers, revealing the power he desired and it was in my grasp. Even in this tragic moment, I couldn't help but feel the sinister feeling of triumph within as I saw his expression change.

Figures moved noiselessly around me, trying to reach me, trying to save me, loved ones' eyes glistening, struggling against the forces that held them.

They have to let me go, they will. Time will make them do so.

I looked into his eyes. Untimely death or not, I was going to end this for once and for all. And this time, the roles would be reversed. I would be his death and he would be at my mercy, even if it meant me dying with him.

I did what I had to. Focusing all my energy, I felt realities burn inside me, the power surging up through my core burst out and the world around was engulfed by a wave of fire and an ear ringing boom. And, all went white.
