three

we walked over to his dorm room and went inside. it was slightly messy but not any worse than mine. there was a bed in one corner and a computer in the other. around the computer, there was a microphone, a facecam, and various other thing used to stream.

"is that where you stream at?" i asked gesturing to his computer.

"yeah." he said as he looked at his computer. "it's not much but it works." he added with a smile.

i looked around some more. on the wall opposite of the door, there was a tv on a stand. the bottom of the stand was all open. in it, there were pictures of nick with an older woman, man, and two younger girls.

"are those your parents and sisters?" i asked.

"yeah." he said with a smile looking at the pictures.

i looked around once more to find various trinkets he has collected over the years and other sentimental things to him.

"so uh, have you ever watched Hunter x Hunter?" he asked.

"oh no. i've heard of it but never watched it." i said with a smile.

"we could watch it, if you want." he asked me.

"that'd be great." i said back.

he smiles and turned his tv on. he found the show on Netflix and began on the first episode.

he pulled his chair from his desk over and sat down.

"you can sit on the bed, if you want." he told me.

"oh, no. you should take the bed. it's yours anyways. i can sit in the chair." i said.

"no, really. it's fine." he said.

"oh ok." i said as i sat down on the end of the bed, my legs crossed.

we watched the show together and i learned about all the characters. nick had told me that if i ever had any questions, to ask him because he's watched it before.

the episodes were easy to keep me in focus because they are only each about 20 mins long and full of action.

after finishing five episodes, nick asked me who my favorite character was.

"oh, i don't know." i said, "i'd have to say either gon or killua."

"oh, same here." he replied.

pretty soon, i looked at the clock. it said 5:49. we had just finished an episode, so i figured it would be a good time to go back to my dorm and eat dinner.

"hey, uh, i should get going. i've got to eat dinner and i'm sure you're tired of watching this, considering you've already seen it." i said.

"oh, no, it's fine." he said with a smile.

i got up and slipped my shoes back on and grabbed my purse. i started to open the door when nick stopped me.

"would you maybe want to grab dinner with me tonight? you can pick the place. but you don't have too. that's fine too." he asked.

"it's a date." i said with a smile as i walked out the door. "meet you at the stair well at 6:15?" i asked.

"yeah. that's good." he said.

i could tell he had been blushing.

nick's pov

a date?

did she really me that or was it just an expression?

i think i'm falling.

at your dorm

when i got back to my dorm, it was 5:56. i had 19 minutes to get ready.

i took a quick shower and got dressed. i didn't get really fancy but just enough to look nice. i put on a little bit of make up and went back out to sit on my couch.

pretty soon, i looked at the clock. it said 6:11. i needed to get going. i grabbed my shoes and my purse and headed out the door. i got to the stairs at almost the same time nick did.

"hey! long time no see." i said with a laugh.

"yeah." he said with a smile. "so where do you want to go?" he asked.

"um, i don't know. i haven't really thought about it." i said.

as we walked down the stairs, i thought for a moment.

"how about Whataburger?" i asked.

"oh, that's good!" he said.

we walked to the door and went outside. i followed him over to his car. when we got there, he opened my door for me.

"oh? a gentleman?" i said with a giggle.

nick laughed. he got in and we drove to Whataburger.
