i followed nick to his vehicle and we got in. he started it and pulled out onto the road. we drove for almost an hour before we got to our destination.

nick pulled up to the side of the road next to a hill with a tree on top. the hill was tall and steep. we walked all the way up to where the tree was.

underneath the tree, there was a quilt laying on the ground. it was surrounded by small tea candles. on the blanket was a basket with snacks inside.

the snacks included chips, candy, gummies, and various other things.

"nick. wha- what is this?" i asked.

"i'm sorry about the other night. we had so much fun together and then that call kinda ruined it." he said.

"i wanted to make it up to you." he followed.

"this is so sweet." i said.

we walked over to the blanket and sat down. on the other side of the tree was a giant white screen with a small projector.

"we can watch hunter x hunter together." he said with a smile while he pointed at the giant white screen.

we got some snacks out and nick set up the screen. we watched hunter x hunter for almost an hour while eating snacks. we finished season 2.

nick turned off the screen and looked at me.

i laid down on the blanket and looked up at the stars. he did the same.

we laid there for almost another hour while we watched the stars and talked.

nick told me about different constellations and pointed them out. i asked him what they all mean and he said he doesn't really know. i laughed.

we sat up again and talked some more.

nick told me about how he found this place. he and his friends used to come here and mess around and play games all the time. i thought that was pretty cute.

we walked around near the tree. nick got out a pocket knife and walked over to the tree.

"do you have a light?" he asked.

i got out my phone and turned on the flashlight.

i giggled and looked at him.

his face turned a little bit red as he smiled.

we walked back over to the blanket and sat down again.

we sat in silence for a few seconds. i looked over at nick and he looked at me.

i could see a slight sparkle in his eyes in the light of the candles.

nick slowly started to lean in. i did the same.

we got closer and closer.

our noses were almost touching when nicks phone buzzed.

and buzzed again.

and again.

he pulled back slightly.

he went to reach for his phone.

"no." i said with a smile.

i put my hand on the side of his face.

i pulled him closer.

suddenly, our lips crashed together.

i closed my eyes and let my emotions take over.

nick moved a little bit closer and put his hand on the side of my face.

i pulled back, opened my eyes, and looked at him. he slightly giggled and pulled me back in.

as we kissed, we fell on top of each other. we laughed together as our lips stayed together.

i pulled away again and laid my head on his chest.

i listened to his breathing and heart beat. pretty soon, i was asleep.

nicks pov

finally

y/n fell asleep on my chest. i listened to her light breathing.

as she slept i decided to check my phone. i had a few texts from clay about something stupid he was arguing about with george.

nick- sorry i didn't answer sooner
clay- were u with her again ;)
nick- shutttt uppppp
clay- so what happened
clay- did u kiss her?
nick- maybe idk 👀
clay- dude did u really?!?
nick- i gtg i'll talk to you later
clay- uhhh ohhhh nicks got a girlfrienddddd

i smiled and closed my phone.

i looked down to y/n.

she was still sleeping. i could feel her chest going up and down softly.

i closed my eyes. i soon fell asleep.

y/n pov

when i woke up, nick was sleeping too. i looked at my phone for the time. it was 2:00 am.

i tapped nick's shoulder.

"nick." i whispered.

"hmm?" i heard him ask tiredly.

"it's 2:00. we should go back." i whispered again.

"mmm k." he said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

we picked up the food and projector and walked back down to the car.

we got in the car. i slept for another hour while nick drove.

finally we got back to the dorms.
