~friday~

i ran out of the door, eager to get this day over with.

school flew past pretty quickly. it was a friday so the teachers didn't give any homework.

sal told me that the party started at 9 so i had a few hours to kill between then and now.

i watched youtube and just chilled out for a few hours.

i got a text from nick around 7 o'clock. he told me to meet him at his dorm at 8.

i used that next hour to get ready. i put on some simple jeans and a t shirt. i walked over to his dorm at 8.

i knocked on the door.

"hiya." i said as he opened the door.

"i missed you." he said.

"aww. really?"

"no." he said as he started laughing.

"meanie." i said with an angry expression like a toddler. i stuck my lip out and furrowed my eyebrows.

"aww." he said as he pulled me into a hug. he wrapped his arms around me and i felt safe. i wrapped my arms around his torso.

"well, it's 8:10 so we should go." he said as he looked at his phone.

"why? the party doesn't start until 9." i said.

"i know." he said as he started to walk out the door. i followed him.

we went out to his vehicle and got in.

"where are we going?" i asked.

"i don't know. let's just drive around together for a little." he said.

we pulled out and drove into town.

we ended up going and getting dinner together. it took awhile so by the time we got done, it was almost 9.

we got back in and drove to where the party was.

i got out and saw sal walking up to the house.

"hey sal!" i yelled. they turned around and waved at me.

"he- ohh whose this?" sal asked looking nick up and down and looking at me with a smirk on their face.

"this is nick." i said. nick gave a little wave.

"hi." sal said. we followed them into the house.

when we walked in, there was loud music playing with lots of flashing led lights. i spotted a table that had many different types of alcohol at it. i looked over to sal, but they were already lost in the crowd somewhere.

nick grabbed my hand and started walking. i made sure to hold his hand tight.

we made our way to the other side of the crowd. nick and i danced together and just talked. i decided i was thirsty so i went to find sal real quick. nick stayed over where we were standing.

i shortly found sal dancing in the middle of the room.

"hey sal." i said loudly. they turned around.

"i'm thirsty." i said. they looked down at there almost full cup and handed it to me.

"i haven't drank any of this so you can have it. i'll just get some more." they said.

i looked at the liquid in the cup. it was a light brown color. i took a sip of it. it burned going down my throat.

but it was so good.

i took another sip. and another. and another.

i walked back over to where nick was.

"what'd ya get?" he asked.

"i don't know but it tastes good. sal gave it to me." i said.

"oh. ok." he said. we danced some more as i drank.

about an hour later, i started to feel a little bit weird. like, giggly.

"nickkkk, gimme a hugggg." i said as i fell into him.

"y/n, i think your drunk." he said. "how much have you had?"

i looked at my cup. it was almost empty.

"the cup was full when i got it." i said.

sal walked by and handed me another. i quickly drank the rest of the other and grabbed the cup.

"no. no more. you're to young for this." nick said trying the grab the cup away.

i held the cup out so he couldn't get it. he tried to grab it again. i ran into the crowd.

"haha!" i said. nick ran after me.

i managed to get away. as i was still running, i looked behind myself.

i ran into something. i looked infront of me. standing there was a guy. he looked at me.

"hey cutie." he said as he went to grab me.

i felt an arm come around my body and push me back a little. nick now stood infront of me. the other guy was at least 5 inches taller than nick.

"hey buddy. what are you doing. she ran into me." the tall guy said. he tried to push nick out off the way and get to me.

nick held his ground.

"get away from her." nick said. it was the first time i've ever heard him sound angry.

"run along, you little shithead." the guy said.

"that's my girlfriend, you dickbag." nick said as he punched the guy in the gut.

that's the first times he's ever called me his girlfriend...

nick picked me up and ran out of the house with me. i looked up and the tall guy was running after us.

nick and i made it to the car. he opened the door and quickly put me in. he ran over to his side, got in, and started the vehicle right as the guy got to us. nick quickly drove off.

we sat for about 5 minutes in silence.

"hahahhaha" i said as i started laughing uncontrollably. i laughed harder and harder. nick started laughing soon after.

we had to pull off for a few minutes because we were laughing so hard.

we finally caught our breaths and continued on.
