It was the second day in the city, Megumin brought Yunyun and dragged me to the guild to make her Crimson Demon debut, whatever that was
Once we got there, she said her introduction. Because practically nobody was there is was even embarrassing for her, thankfully the receptionist was there, and Megumin got to become an official adventurer.
"So, what do we do now?" I asked
"We go on a quest!" She Announced
[She probably just wants to use her explosion magic, considering what happens when she does]
"Why don't we take this one?" I said taking a quest off the board
Subjugation quest
Get rid of Chestnut Rats that have infested my farm.
While they are called rats, they're more like spikey-haired squirrels, I killed some on my own and then Megumin used her spell to get rid of the remaining ones.
Once we got back, we had to pay compensation for the damaged Chestnut trees that Megumin destroyed with her spell.
"Because of the compensation we had to pay, we barely have enough money to even pay for our meal."
"Hey, you know that if I don't use my explosion spell once I day, I'll die!" She said as she ate her meal
[...with how this is going I'm going to have to get a job again]
"I've returned master" said Azami as she as usual appeared from nowhere
"Eh? Where have you-"
She then placed a bag full of money on the table.
"Eh?!" Yelled both Megumin and I
"Wait, master? Y/n, what's this?! You have a humanoid familiar?!" Yelled out Megumin as she slammed the table with her hands
"Yeah, I guess you could say that."
Azami then sat down next to me.
"When did this happen? Wait, I remember seeing her as we were fighting that demon, so that means you must have made a contract before that!" She said
"Thou are correct," said Azami as she had a mouthful of my food. Megumin then had a smug look and gave off a laugh.
Looking at my plate, I found it to be empty.
After we finished eating, Megumin left for the Inn to continue to talk with Azami. I stayed to look for the quest that we would take tomorrow; it was then I saw a recruitment poster that reminded me of a certain someone.
Looking for a party member
Someone who is okay with a conversation stalling, someone who doesn't get scared of me visiting every day and doesn't get angry if our eyes don't meet during a conversation

As I looked around the guild, I saw a familiar face playing single-player checkers, so I walked up to her and placed my hand on her shoulders.
"Nice to meet you! My name is Yunyun; my job is an arch-wizard though I can only use inter-" she stopped mid-sentence as she saw who it was
"Nice to meet you, Yunyun! My name is Y/n L/n; my job is a creator thought I could use a bunch of strange powers not from this world! I hope we can get along," I said, playing along.
