~~~~~~~~~~
A peaceful woodland, the melody of birds, chirping echoed through the area, the aroma of petrichor from an early rain shower filled the air,
"Damn it all! Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it! Why the hell was I sent to a place where you would go once you're at least level 80!"
Even as he realized his cries sounded rather strange, Y/n L/n showed no sign of stopping his tremendous flight. Jumping sideways, he dodged a slime-like ball that melted the area it touched. Stumbling to get his footing, he continued running.
He glanced over his shoulder. There were eight of them.
He had already frantically run over 4 miles, but they were still chasing him. Having no offensive skills, he concluded that fighting that many monsters would be near impossible.
Putting his hands together, the space between them began glowing. After he finished, he threw the defective grenade he made, making a meager "Poof," when it hit something.
"Shit, why does this happen to me!?! Such rotten luck!"
Tripping on a tree root, his life began to flash before his very eyes.
" Explosion!" Someone yelled.
The surrounding area was engulfed by an explosive flash and an ear-shattering boom. The force of the blast sent him flying into a tree. Getting up, he began to dust himself off.
"Took you long enough!"
"Sorry, I was thinking of what to say for a chant," said Megumin, who was now on the floor
He stopped dusting himself and began to walk towards her.
" So, I was running for MY life. YOU were trying to think of A.CHANT!!!!"
"Y-yes," she said meekly.
Y/n slapped her head with a paper fan.
"Ow!"
"Well, what happened, happened," he said, helping Megumin drink a mana potion.
"Why'd you slap me?!" she reprimanded
"Why didn't you use your spell earlier?!"
"I already told you why!" Megumin protested
"Well, whatever," Y/n said with a sigh.
Opening his satchel, he took out two candy bars, giving one to Megumin.
[A month has passed since I met this, explosion addicted loli. It was a mistake telling her the area I lived in because every day, she would bother me to take her to use her explosion spell. Which would end with me having to either carry her away from danger or fight monsters that were leveled way higher than I was.]
"I was honestly surprised at how easily I was accepted in the village,"
"Hm? Oh, Not many people decide to stay so, thats probably why," explained Megumin.
"Well, everyone does behave weirdly,"
"Youre still saying that?"
"I say it because its the truth," he bluntly said
"Well, to me, you're weird!" she said
"I can accept that. Your common sense is different from mine," I said
Megumin then pouted
"Anyways, it's about time you head back home," I told her.
"R-right," she said, and went home.
[damn, I still remember the first time I went to her home; her mom is scary... Honestly, what kind of parent would forcefully lock her daughter and someone they just met in a room?]
He heard it, a low growl from behind the bushes. A growl that was similar to the creature that chased him before,
[Thankfully Megumin left already...]
"So, you brought friends, eh?"
Jumping from its hiding place; he used a wooden bat that he made to parry the in coming attack, and then stabbed a knife into its neck killing it, the second one came out but before it got a chance he shot it with a revolver, done the last one was so afraid that it prostrated itself for forgiveness and so he became my tamed beast
or that is what he wanted to do, instead
"oijweoubfhkbibviuberve," he cried, as he ran away from the beasts.
"WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO MEEEEEE!"
Closing the door to his home, he immediately went and flopped onto his bed
"Why is this so hard?!" He yelled while quickly scratching his head
"Aren't people who are sent to another world grated some kind of op power?! What can I do with something that only makes stuff that I have a general understanding of how they work?!"
Putting his hands together, he made what looked to be a gun, but after he shot once, the gun deteriorated
"Useless!" he yelled, throwing what was left of it onto the pile of other defective stuff he made
*sigh* "I need something that lets me fight back, I can't always just run away...."
looking at the book that I got when I first came to this world, I saw that it still had an empty title
[it would usually have what I wanted to learn about, but recently it stopped working... ]
"well, I guess I could ask Hyoizaburoo to teach me how to make stuff... but I doubt he'll teach me anything useful,"
