Being in hufflepuff meant that most of the time you're away from your best friends. Yes you see them during the day, but you miss on many stuff during the night.
For example, when Remus told them about the werewolf issue you had to find out the next day since well you are in a different house. When Lily started showing feelings for James, you were practically the last one to know. It hurt you but you realized it's the price to pay.
You woke up at 2 am to your owl 'Astrea' tapping on your window. You let her in and she nipped on your cheek to show affection.
Dear Chloe,
Can you meet me in our special place? Please?
Sirius
You got worried and so you left instantly to the astronomy tower. Ever since first year, you would sneak there with Sirius.
You got there and found Sirius with a cigarette sitting near the edge.
'Pads? You ok?' you asked.
'Regulus', he muttered. 'He is going to become a death eater'.
And so he burst into tears, so you held him close in your arms and he clutched your shirt.
You stayed like this till he fell asleep realizing that no matter where you were, you were a priority to Sirius. You were and always will be the first one he goes to.
