Brother! Harry Potter

31 October 1981, aftet the tragic death of James and Lilly Potter by Voldemort, and after Harry was able to defeat the dark lord, Severus Snape walked through the house of Godric Hollows. He saw the body of James Potter lying on the floor, so he ran upstairs searching for his beloved Lily.

He found her lifeless body lying on the ground and suddenly everything stopped. The sound of his heartbeat took over that even the wailing of the one year old, Harry Potter, was no longer heard. He clutched her body close and let out a painful cry regretting his whole existence.

When he decided to leave, so that no one sees him, he heard another cry. It was not Harry's. He followed the sound and found a baby barely a month old, wrapped in a blanket. He didn't know Lily had a daughter, and if he didn't know then no one knows.

He decided to take the baby, as a reminder of Lily. He would take care of her to honor Lily. He held the baby and apparated to his home where he found Lucius Malfoy waiting for him.

'It's true then?' Malfoy asked. Snape nodded. 'What do you have there?'

Snape looked at Malfoy and thought about lying, but then, the truth will come out eventually.

'Lily's daughter', he replied. 'Apparently, she had a child before she died and I thought about raising her as my own. You know, to have privilege'.

'Ah! Nice thinking snape, but how about I raise her?' asked Malfoy.

'What? Why?'

'Well first thing first, I have a son, a sister would help him. Second, I am married you are not. How you explaing having a child to everyone when you have not wed anyone'.

As much as he hated to admit it, Snape agreed with Malfoy. He handed the child to Malfoy.

'And the name?' asked Malfoy.

'Julia', mutter Snape.

~~~~~~11 years later~~~~~~

'Okay Draco', said Narcissa. 'take care of your sister and don't let her out of your sight'.

Draco rolled his eyes, but nodded nonetheless. He took Julia's hand and boarded the Hogwarts Express. As soon as the train moved, Draco let go of his sister's hand and turned to look at her.

'Listen, all this stick with me stuff is not going to work', he told his sister. 'If you want to survive Hogwarts, make your own friends and don't hold me back'.

Julia widened her eyes. He is going to let her be on her own.

'See you at the Slytherin table', he smirked.

'But I'm not sorted yet', she replied quitely.

'Oh you better be Slytherin. You don't want to become more of an outcast do you?'

With that he left her. She started wandering trying to find an empty place to sit when she found a bushy haired girl sitting alone looking upset.

'Mind if I sit here?' Julia muttered quitely. 'Everywhere else is full'.

The girl nodded and smiled tightly.

'I'm Hermione Granger', the girl said extending her hand. Oh the muggle-born that Draco talked about.

'Julia Malfoy', Julia muttered embarrassed. She never admitted it but she is embarrassed of her family.

Hermione's smile faltered and retrieved her hand. Julia sensed the awkwardness.

'So my brother gave you a hard time?', Julia asked and Hermione nodded.

'Ummm... My brother and I don't get long very well', she muttered. 'He just abandoned me'.

'What? Why?' Hermione asked.

'I believe until I'm sorted slytherin, he doesnt want to know me'.

'Do you want to be sorted Slytherin?'

'I don't think so'.

'Why?'

'I'm not like my family, we all want different things '.

Hermoine smiled and they continued talking until they arrived to Hogwarts where they bidded goodbye since Julia had to go through the sorting ceremony.

Once they were inside, one by one they started going up to get sorted.
Julia caught Draco watching her, daring her to make a mistake.

'Malfoy, Julia', McGonegal said.

Julia took a deep breath and sat on the stool and waiting for the decision.

'Ooohhh I see.... Mmmm yeah! Just like your parents, brave, determined... Yesss... I know what to do with you.... GRYFFINDOR'

The hall fell silent and everyone was just staring at her wearily. A malfoy in Gryffindor!!!! What in hell!!! She walked to the Gryffindor table and everyone was still in shock, except 3 people:
Her brother, Draco, giving her a nasty look and the usual expression 'Wait till father hears about this'.
Professor Snape, who she knew from the constant visits every while, looked disappointed.
Headmaster Dumbeldor, looking proud.

~~~~~~Time skip to 6th year~~~~~~

'Look I'm telling you', Ron started. 'He is always asking about you'.

Julia rolled her eyes and laughed.

'Just because he is asking about me does not mean he fancies me', she mumbled.

'He asked me if you are seeing someone, if you fancy anyone', he argued.

Julia blushed and tried changing the subject. The topic was awkward because Ron is trying to prove that his brother, Fred, fancies her. She had always fancied him since he was the first one along with his twin, aside fron Hermoine, that first approached her in her first year.

'Julia', Harry spoke. 'Do you know what your brother is up to?'

'No Harry', she sighed. 'Ever since joining you last year at the Ministery, no one at home is speaking to me... More so than before'.

Everyone eyed her sympathetically.

'I swear I feel as if you are my brother not him', she continued with a sigh.

'Well I am your brother', Harry muttered and hugged her.

Few days later, and after Harry left with Dumbeldor to find the Horcrux, Julia was at the Astronomy Tower. Suddenly, Harry and Dumbeldor appeared.

'Quick!' said Dumbeldor. 'Hide'.

Harry grabbed her hand and hid her behind the staircase where I watched Draco trying to kill Dumbeldor. I wanted to stop him, but then he showed his dark mark and started crying. Then Bellatrix and few others came urging Draco to kill him.

Suddenly, Snape appeared and asked them to be quiet then proceeded over to the crowd. Then, Snape raised his wand while Dumbeldor begged him. Then, 'Avada Kedavra' and Dumbeldor was dead.

Later, Julia and Harry found themselves in Dumbeldor's office trying to understand the Horcruxes when they stumbled upon a tube with a tag that says, 'A memory for Harry and Julia. Must watch'.

Harry and Julia started to watch the memory explaining everything.
They saw Snape telling Dumbeldor how he found Lily's daughter. They saw him telling him that he gave her to the Malfoy's. They saw Dumbledore tell Lupin and Black to keep it a secret because if Julia found out, Voldemort will and will kill her. Or worse, torture her to get to Harry.

After the memory was done, they looked at each other.

'This makes sense', Harry stated. 'I don't know if I should be happy that I still got family or be mad at everyone who knew'.

Julia hugged him then smirked, 'Wait till my father hears about this'.

They both laughed.
