Y/N's P.O.V.
"Hey, we got one." Elliott called as an alarm buzzed and flashed red, causing me to sit up and put down my coffee.
"One of those machines you asked for is goin' crazy." I went over to his side and Five moved over too."Which one?" Five asked.
"It's the, uh, atmospheric radar." Elliott looked at the screen and I glanced at Five, who was clearly more than a little pissed at me. He had been ignoring me for the past few hours and I felt horrible.
"I don't- I don't get it. What are you tracking? A hurricane? A storm front?""Sound waves." Five grinned and Elliott repeated what he said. Five stepped back. I grabbed onto his shoulder, just as he spacial jumped. We both fell to the ground and I winced, not expecting the rough landing.
"What the fuck, Y/N?" Five glared at me with hostility I wasn't expecting.
"Do you know how dangerous that was?""Five, you have every right to be mad at me right now, but don't you dare think you can run off on your own." I mirrored his glare.
"Those three shooters are still out there and going off alone without telling anyone your plan isn't an option." Five scoffed and walked off and I reluctantly followed him, not even knowing where we were. Well, I knew we were in a big ass crop circle, but that was about it.
I followed him until I saw the girl crouching in the crops and my eyes widened a little."Hi, Vanya." Five greeted and I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Who are you?" She asked, a terrified look in her eyes and I stepped forward, moving in front of Five and holding out my hand.
"A friend." I smiled and she took my hand. I could feel Five glaring at me, but I didn't particularly care.
"And that's your brother, who doesn't like me very much at the moment.""I have a brother?" She asked quietly.
"Look, you can either stay here and wait for the IKEA Mafia to come back and kill you, or you can come with us." Five began to walk off and she looked at me in confusion.
"Wh... Why are they trying to kill me?" She asked and we followed Five.
"Because you're not supposed to be here, Vanya." Five sighed.
"In Dallas?" She asked in confusion.
"No, here, in 1963." Five shrugged, as if it was simple.
"Five, her memory clearly isn't-" Five walked off and I clenched my jaw as we made it back to the crop circle.
"Holy shit." Vanya whispered.
"Yeah, pretty wild, right?" Five chuckled.
"Well, it's good to see your powers are still intact. Let's go." Five began to walk off again and Vanya followed like a lost puppy.
After some walking, we made it to a small diner and Five decided it was a good time to stop for coffee. The waitress poured the coffee into our two cups and Five smiled sweetly. Vanya was sat between us, which was probably best at the moment.
"Leave the pot, Dear. Thank you." I rolled my eyes and picked up the cup."Lippy little shit." The woman said as she walked away, causing me to smirk.
"You wanna tell me what the Hell is going on?" Vanya asked. It had been established she had suffered some kind of memory loss when she arrived here, which meant explaining everything to her. I just hoped Five wouldn't be too blunt about it.
"When you were a baby, you were bought by an eccentric billionaire. He raised you in an elite academy with six other siblings with extraordinary powers, but in the year 2019, to avoid the apocalypse, we jumped into a vortex and ended up being scattered in time thought Dallas, Texas." Five stopped and I took a long drink of the hot coffee, whisking it was something more alcoholic.
"Any questions?""What do you mean the apocalypse?" Vanya questioned and I looked at Five with a glare that meant don't you dare. If he told Vanya the apocalypse was her fault, it would just upset her and we learned last time that it was a bad idea to do that.
"I mean the end of the world as we know it." Five sighed.
"Yeah, but how?" Vanya pushed.
"You really don't remember anything?" Five looked at her carefully.
"Nothing before a month ago." Vanya shrugged.
"Then what do you remember?" Five asked and I looked at the dark liquid in the cup.
"I landed in, like, a... back alley." She shook her head.
"I got hit by a car. My head was ringing like crazy. I had no idea how I got there or where I came from." She stopped for a second.
"What causes the apocalypse?""Asteroid impact." I said and Vanya looked at me.
"The big kaboom that ends everything. Like the one that killed the dinosaurs, except way worse." Five picked up his cup and I gave Vanya a small smile."Bad news is, it followed us here." Five added and I really wished he hadn't.
"What do you mean followed us?" Five sighed heavily.
"8 days from now the world ends in a nuclear doomsday." He mumbled.
"Its a different disease, but... same result.""That can't be right." Vanya shook her head.
"We saw it with our own eyes." Five looked at me, then back at Vanya.
"You were there. We all were.""Shit." Vanya whispered, getting out of her seat.
"I need to make a phone call." She ran over to the phone on the wall and Five leaned towards me. For a moment I actually thought he was going to apologise for being mad at me over such a stupid thing, but I was wrong."Asteroid impact?" He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Telling her the whole truth wouldn't end well for anyone and you know it." I replied.
"Besides, that's what actually ends the world, it's not like I was lying.""Oh, well that makes a nice change, doesn't it?" Five hissed and I felt like I had just been punched in the gut.
I got out of my seat and looked at him with a glare."I'll see you back at Elliott's."
