4 | face to face

soon enough, i found myself slowly adjusting to my classes. the first few weeks were pretty rough but i'm finding myself settling into them quite nicely. well, maybe except for philosophy. my professor's old and such a bore... i fell asleep way too many times in his class to the point i just gave up and started sitting in the back of the lecture. 

i just finished one of my very last classes for this week. thank heavens it's friday. 

fridays plus the weekend have slowly become one of my favourite days of the week as it gave me time off to focus and direct my attention towards other things. 

i landed myself a job as a part-time barista at starbucks just around two weeks before university started. jenna, a good friend/close co-worker of mine from the previous location i had worked at was moving locations closer to the university. one afternoon, she texted me suddenly and asked me if i wanted to take a barista job there. it was the most convenient so naturally i had to say yes. 

as i reached the back and swung open the door, an enthusiastic jenna greeted me. 

"hey seungjin! nice to see you again. grab your apron and- oh! do you still have your name tag on you?" she asked. 

"yes, i do! " i told her as i rushed to the back to put away my school bag, tie my apron and hurriedly attach the tag.

"sounds good! in case you haven't noticed, we've got a huge line up of customers. i think they're here for our special creations drinks" jenna whispered.

i looked up to see a huge, narrow line of customers. shit. we're doomed. there's only two of us working shifts at the moment. jenna prepares the machines and drink cups while i take my place near the cash register. i scan the long huge line and my eyes go wide for a few seconds. 

at the very back of the line, i spot the rude and arrogant guy. the same one that helped me with my textbooks on the very first day of classes.

oh god. 

i have to take his order. 

this chapter's a real short one this time around sdjfksdfj my apologies y'all... i hope you enjoyed it regardless! the next few will definitely be a bit more exciting & actually get the plot rolling more. stay tuned for the next chapter aka. the starbucks encounter ;)
