Chapter 7

Teams POV

It's been a few hours since they said goodbye to Spencer. Hotch was expecting a call a while ago and was beggining to get worried.

"Have you guys heard from the institiution?" He asked the team who were still packing up at the BAU after a long, dreadful day.

"No, I thought they were supposed to call you." Emily replied. She then realized the time and began to worry as well.

"I'll call them, I'm sure everthings alr-." He was cut off by the abrupt ringing of his phone. He reached into his pocket to answer.

"Hotchner." The team stood patiently while their leader received what they assumed, news about Spencer.

"Hello Agent Hotchner, I'm Agent Kennedy. I'm calling to inform you that your agent, Spencer Reid didn't make it to the mental institution he was assigned. He was in an accident on the way, I'm sending you the address to the crash site as we speak.''

Hotch's stomach turned,  but his face stayed in it's usual stern expression not letting the team know anything was wrong until his response.

"Is he alright?" His words worried the team even more and they walked closer to Hotch.

"He wasn't at the site when we arrived sir."

"Okay thank you, my team and I are on our way."

Morgan was the first to ask."Hotch what happened? Is he okay?"

"Reid was in an accident but wasn't found at the crash site. I think he was kidnapped. We'll know more at the scene."

Everyone hurried to grab their things and followed Hotch to the parking garage. They loaded up in two seperate SUVs and impatiently sped to the crash site. When they arrived they got straight to work, determined to find their youngest colleague.

"Guys over here." Morgan called, inspecting the inmate van that caused the crash.

"This van is from Mount Pleasant Women's Correctional Facility." Morgan informed. With a sliver of panic in his voice.

"This was the van that hit Reid." Hotch said. They all looked at eachother with dread in their eyes. No one wanted to admit it but J.J finally did.

"Cat." Hearing her name out loud just angered everyone more.

"I would say I don't beilive it but..." Emily said.

"We don't know for sure it was her, it could've been anyone who escaped."

"You don't really think that do you? This is a busy road, and out of all the vehicles she could've hit, she hit the one Reid was in. And to top it all off she took him with her. I dont think this is a coincidence Hotch." Morgan replied.

"Do you think she would do all of this just because he was the one to arrest her?" Rossi asked.

"This is Cat Adams were talking about. Nothing stops her from doing what she wants, not even prison."

"I think theirs more too it than revenge." J.J says.

"She had to have had some help on the inside. I'll call Garcia." Morgan pulled away from the group and she picked up almost instantly.

"Hey baby girl, I need you to look into Cat Adam's file from Mount Pleasant."

"Cat Adams! She's back? How?"

"We don't know that's why we need you to work your magic."

"I'm on it." She hung up with her big sparkley pen and got to work.
