The rain was falling from the dark sky on to her dark blue umbrella. Erilian pulled her jacket closer as she stood outside, waiting for her sister to appear so they could get to school.
I'll be back later tonight, her sister had said. Erilian scoffed, that was yesterday. Where are you El? thought Elrian frowning.
When she finally heard the horn of a car, she sighed in relief. "Oh thank God! Where on earth have you been?" she asked throwing her hands up looking at her sister who had rolled the window down.
Elena chuckled nervously leaning forward to look at her sister who was still standing on the doorstep. "Sorry about that. There were a few things that took longer than we expected so I crashed over at Cliff's," she admitted sheepishly.
Erilian crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at her sister. She studied her for a while. She was cleaned up and had a different set of cloth from that of yesterdays. Erilian sighed before saying, "Did you eat breakfast?"
"No, but I figured I could get something to eat on the way." smiled Elena knowing she was forgiven.
"Good! I don't want to be late to school." sighed Erilian walking down the front steps.
She studied the black sportscar her sister was driving. What she saw made her confused. She had never seen that car before. "El? Who's car is this?" she asked.
"Mine," answered Elena smugly.
Erilian's jaws dropped. "Yours? Youre telling me you have more cars than the ones in the garage?" Knowing her sister, she definitely does. "What am I saying? Of course, you do." she shook her head at her own stupid question.
Opening the passenger door, Erilian slipped in, the scent of leather invading her nose. It was spotless. The car came to life with a roar that made Erilian turn to look at her sister with wide eyes. Elena was wearing a smile that was a cross between smug and pleased.
Erilian rolled her eyes. "What's with you and cars anyway?" The only response she got was a shrug.

As usual, the paparazzi were waiting when the two arrived at school. Heads turned as the two walked by and the whispers started. The two made their way inside and headed towards their lockers. Elena stopped a few times along the way. After depositing their books, they headed towards the first period where the others were waiting.
Cole was texting on his phone while Jason and Andrea were arguing about which was better; apples or oranges. Erilian greeted them cheerfully while Elena gave Cole a blank look with a raised brow and he shrugged innocently.
"What?" he asked and she pulled a bit to the side.
"What do you mean 'what'? What happened to you yesterday? I thought you were coming back?" she whispered lowly for only him to hear.
"I did!" he threw his hands up. "You were asleep. I found you laying on the sofa so I decided to leave you alone." he shrugged.
She narrowed her eyes before she sighed. "Fine. But we're still going to talk about what happened. I don't like being left in the dark," she warned pointing at him.
"Where's Lucas?" asked Erilian looking around when the second bell rang. "I thought he'd be here by now."
"I don't think–"
"Hey guys, Sorry I'm late," said Lucas walking towards them, cutting off Cole. "I kinda overslept."
Cole and Elena stared at him wide-eyed while the others smiled at him in greeting. Erilian, Jason and Andrea walked into class. When Lucas was about to follow them, Cole dragged him back by the collar.
