It took a long time to realize the feeling in his gut was homesickness. He never thought he would miss that place. But here he was as far away as he could possibly get, feeling like he had nothing and nobody. He looked out the window of his brand new condo and he looked at each and every building surrounding him. He loved the new home, but he slowly felt the knot in his throat signaling that a cry was building up. As the first hot tear fell from his eye he thought of everything he had walked away from, at the time it felt so right, but right now at this very moment, it felt like the worse decision of his life. He looked down at his phone in his hand and opened his contacts, he scrolled until he got to the name he was looking for "Angel". More tears fell as he thought about the most important person he had left behind, the reason the big condo felt so empty and like it was missing the main ingredient a wife. He took a deep breath and pressed the call button. The phone rang twice and then he heard her sweet voice on the other end of the phone. He took a long breath but before he could say anything she spoke, "you don't have to say it because I already know, no matter how far apart hearts are, love doesn't die. You tell me where and I'm there, I told you I had us and you just take care of me mentally". With a sigh and a smile, he lowered his head and told her where. The next day when she arrived he held her so tight and so close he just wanted to feel her heart against him. That once empty condo now felt full and complete, because he now had his main ingredient to it all.
