She never thought she would see it again, but there it was, nestled in a box of random mementos. The sight of it, the smell of it brought memories flooding back. Her first thought was back to the summer she had received the bouquet of flowers. The sweet smell of the now small flower she had saved from the bouquet brought back the most vivid memory, she had from that summer. She remembered the boy who had given it to her, the chocolate boy with the almond-shaped brown eyes, the boy with the beautiful crooked smile that sent chills down her spine. She was forbidden by her grandmother to see this boy, but that didn't stop the late-night phone calls. The fake trips into town so that she could meet him for ice cream and long walks in the park. She would see the church folk grandmother knew looking and whispering, but she didn't care she walked with her head held high without a care in the world. As that summer came to an end it was time for her to return to her mothers so it was time for her one last meet up and goodbye. When she met him that last time he arrived with a huge bouquet of flowers. As she snapped out of the daydream she smiled and then headed downstairs to meet her husband for their lunch date. She greeted now a chocolate man with the almond-shaped brown eyes and crooked smile..............
