Ashlyn's POV:

I walked slowly through the halls of my soon to be old school. Everyone came up to hug me and say goodbye. I finally got to my locker as my best friend Maggie came up with her red, puffy eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you Ashlyn" she said. And started to cry again.

" Awe don't worry Mags, I'll call you everyday and we can facetime and text." I told her.

I soon started to feel bad that she has been crying more about me leaving than I had myself. But I guess it just hasn't hit me yet that I was leaving.

"Well... do you wanna hang out after school?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure." She answered.

I started to clean all my things out of my locker. Once I was finally finished the bell rung, causing me to run to the other side of the school for my first class.

Great it's my last day of school and I was going to be late, I thought. But atleast they couldn't give me detention!

*At Lunch*

As soon as I sat down with my friends people started to come up to me and say that they were going to miss me. I felt bad though, because the person sitting there crying the most was Maggie. Honestly I hadn't cried once sinced I was told that we were moving.

*At Home*

I waited for Maggie to get here while I packed the rest of my things. I suddenly heard knock on my door, I was hoping it was Maggie but it was just my brother, Blake.

We were very close unlike some siblings,

"So are you excited to move?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I guess. I just don't wanna leave all my friends behind...."

"I know I don't wanna leave either but I heard the house is supposed to be huge! "

"That doesn't matter Blake! We are leaving everyone behind as if were just starting a new life without even be asked about it!" I yelled.

"Woahhhhh chill out! I came up here to tell you that dinner is ready! Once you cool down come join us." He said and with that he left.

I know that we are leaving tommorow but my emotions are finally setting in and I've started to realize that I don't even want to leave. I was interrupted by the loud grumble in my stomach so I decided to join everyone downstairs.

"Hey sweetie!" My mother said.

"Hi mom"

"Have you packed all of your things up yet?" She asked.

"Yep"

"Well..." my father said, "Are you two excited or what?"

"You mean excited to leave all of my friends behind to go meet new people and start at a new school in the middle of the school year? Well, not really."

He seemed pretty bummed out after that and decided to stop talking about it. My mother noticed,

"Sweetie I don't think that was very nice of you to say that-"

"Well what do you want me to say!!" I was now pissed, "All I can think of is how scary this is going to be because no one is going to want to be my friend in the middle of the school year!"

"You'll have Blake to talk to" She said smiling like nothing happened.

Blake and I both chuckled.

"Yeah, ok" I answered sarcastically.

"Why can't you be like Melanie,"

Melanie was my older sister she was 24 so she already moved out.

She continued, "Melanie had to go through the same thing like you-

I cut her off, "Because I'm not Melanie mom!!!"

I stormed off. I was beyond furious at his point.
