CHAPTER IV A JEDI'S RETURN

 As I headed back to the last place the Assassin was at i couldn't help but think of the times i've dealt with assassins back when I was a jedi. Assassin droids are hard targets to follow, so this might take a while. When I got back to the station I started to watch some footage of the attack in hope to find out where the droid went.

"Any thing?" I asked one of the officers

"no , not yet." I've been looking and looking with no avail." he replied with an irritated expression.

"I'm going to see if I can find anything out on the roof where it attacked us." I said heading towards the door.

As I headed out I saw a ship approaching the docking bay. We had the ports shut down for anyone without clearance, so whoever this was had to had the power to do so. I headed to the bay to investigate the new arrival.

As the ship landed, the door opened and I smiled with some shock. "What brings you out here stranger?" I said sarcastically. the man in robes walked closer as I came to the conclusion that it was the one and only Anakin Skywalker and with his classic smug expression walking out of the ship.

"Oh you know, just came by to see and old friend." he laughed.

"It's good to see you Anakin." I said happily. I held out my hand for him to shake.

"I was hoping my arrival would be a surprise, but nothing gets by you does it?" Anakin chuckled with a sigh.

"sorry , we've all been a little on edge." " there was an assasianation attempt yesterday." i replied with a grim voice.

"What?! What kind of attack?" Anakin asked surprised as we made our way back to the palace.

"An assassin droid. I managed to follow it for some but soon lost it, maybe you can lend a hand. "I smiled, looking at his arm, knowing my old padawan would see the joke i made. "Har, Har, very funny Obi-Wan"

"What can I say, I take pride in my humor." I laughed. "But in all seriousness what bring the jedi out to mandalore?" "Ahsoka left the order..." Anakin answered with a sad expression.

"What, why?" I asked taken by surprise. "What made her leave?" "A bomb went off at the temple and Ahsoka was the first to it... the council though she did it, but they were wrong. She left on her own even after I asked her back..." Anakin replied sadly.

" maybe she just needs to find her own path... Im sure that some day you two with cross paths once again." I said reassuringly. "Ha, like how you found yours?" Anakin laughed as we entered the palace. "I'm just glad you have been doing alright."

"How is the senator?" I asked knowing what his response would probably be. Anakin blushed when the topic was brought up. He has told me about his relationship with the senator a short while after I left the order. Anakin cleared his throat before answering me.

"She's doing well... can I ask you a question Obi-Wan?" Anakin sounded troubled. "Of course, anything." I replied worried for my friend. " have... have you ever wanted to start a family?" Anakin asked. "I... I don't really know I haven't really thought about it... maybe someday." I answered taken back a bit at the question.

We reached the throne room. Satine was having a holo chat with a few senators from the other mandalorian settlements and planets about the attack and to be prepared just in case of an attack on them. "Alright thank you for your time" Satine said ending the call.

"Master Skywalker" Satine said putting her hand out. "Dutchess" Anakin replied giving Satine's hand a small kiss. "I apologize for the poor arrival preparations, we have been... preoccupied." Satine told Anakin. "Ya, Obi-Wan told me about it on our way here." Anakin replied. "How can I help?"

"I have warned most of the ambassadors about the assassin." Satine informed him. "And I have placed guards at the more important facilities and schools." "Obi-Wan and the local forces have been tracking his trail for a while now but i'm sure they could use your help."

"Of course" Anakin replied then we left the room.
