THE LONE WOLF (COMPLETED)

CHAPTER 8

FAITH POV:

I sat staring out the window of the plane as it slowly departed the Davenport airport. And while I did, all I kept picturing was Seth's face in my mind...I couldn't get over the fact that I had seen him again. That was not the Seth I had once known before. The Seth I knew before, despite everything he did, was confident, proud, groomed, and dare I say it...even hot! Of course after finding out he was the one that had attacked me, the only thing I felt for him was SICK! But seeing him just now, like that, it was a feeling I just couldn't describe. He looked like a broken man, carrying the entire weight of the world on his shoulders. This wasn't me feeling sorry for him, god knows I could never do that! It was more like...what happened to you Seth? I always heard such horror stories about how the joint changes you, and now after him seeing again, I believed every word. I guess after being in prison so long he ended up with nothing, no money, no home, no friends - and I'm pretty sure any friends he did have left would have disowned him after finding out what a low life monster he really was.

Well, whatever happened to you in inside Seth, you earned it, every last bit of it. And now that you're out, all alone and suffering, your real sentence begins, because you're about to learn that freedom without love is biggest killer of all.

There wasn't enough pain and suffering in the world to make up for what he did, and if it were up to me...He would never see the light of day again!!!

I closed my eyes and fell asleep right away...

ROMAN POV:

I watched Faith sleeping peacefully...only a few more hours' baby and we'll be far far away from Davenport, and all the horrible memories that being in his hometown yesterday reminded us of.

I kinda felt like I had failed her in a way, because even though we knew way in advance that we were scheduled to perform there, in the end, there was nothing in my power that I could have done to take her worries away. Which is why I made a solemn promise to myself that as soon as we landed in Greenbay, I would do absolutely everything in my power to make her feel whole again, because I loved her so much with all my heart.

I let my mind travel back to the day when she said yes to moving in with me, and there are still no words as to just how happy she made me!

To know whenever I go home now, Faith would be going home with me, brought more excitement than my heart could bear! The dream of sharing my life with that special someone had finally come true, and I knew I was one lucky man to have found someone as amazing as Faith to share my life with.

FAITH POV:

Roman woke me with a kiss, like Prince Charming in a fairy tale...

I would go to sleep each night with the notion I was dreaming it all, and wake each morning in happiness that my dreams had all come true!

I had found my Prince Charming, or better yet he had found me, and even though it had taken a lot of time, and with a lot of demons to slay, I was finally safe in the mansion with my Prince by my side.

Roman and I had been living together for about two years now. He had asked me to move in with him the day of my book signing, and I remember feeling so happy I was almost lost for words-ironic I know.

Living together with the man I loved, was a feeling like no other! And Roman never failed, day after day to continue to make all my dreams come true. There was no measure of time great enough to thank him for it, but I would still try day after day.

Everything in our lives was just perfect now. And even though I knew Seth was out of jail, I was not going to let him, or anything else ruin what we had together. I was proud to say that Roman and I had an amazing bond like no other, and there was nothing strong enough to break us now, nothing!

Little did I know, that exactly one week from now I would be eating my words whole...

3 HOURS LATER...

''Hey baby...you awake?'' Roman asked softly.

I opened my eyes and looked into the face of my beautiful handsome man ''I am now...'' I whispered, and leaned up to kiss his lips lovingly.

''We're here baby, we're in Greenbay''

Finally! I thought, smiling to myself. Then suddenly my smile grew a little wider when I remembered I had quite literally left all my troubles behind, because even though I was still getting over the initial shock of seeing Seth again after all this time, I had also managed, on my own, to devise a brilliant plan to get rid of him too. And I had done it in a way that he left no excuse, or reason to ever try and come back into our lives again! I had single handedly cut any ties we had with him, and I managed to do it all without Roman being any wiser. Life couldn't be better!

''Baby, I'm gonna go with Summer and AJ to the hotel with our luggage, and I'll be back to have lunch with you in a couple of hours'' he smiled ''What time is your meeting with Stephanie again?''

I looked down at my watch ''Oh...in like one hours' time!'' I said, quickly siting up and rubbing my tired eyes.

''Relax baby, the arenas just a twenty minute ride from here, we'll drop you off on our way...mmmm, come here babygirl'' he said, pulling me close and showing me with sweet kisses.

He then me up, and carried me down the stairs of the plane with him ''You're such a gentleman Roman, after all these years you still manage to sweep me off my feet!'' I gushed, and he leant down and kissed my lips, and I closed my eyes once more, not wanting the moment to end...

''C'mon you two, save all that for the hotel'' AJ shouted from the top of the stairs. Roman and I just looked at each other and giggled.

''Oh let them have their fun AJ'' Summer said, coming out directly behind him. Oh did I forget to mention they're like thing now? Yeah, it happened that night when Summer was drunk as hell in her cute little pink dress. AJ had told Roman that she stole his heart away, and Summer had told me that AJ was the perfect gentlemen, and that after carrying her to her room safely, that he'd also asked her for her number so he could her out sometime.

''Well no, I just don't want them outdoing us Daisy, so come here sweet cheeks!'' and I could hear AJ kissing Summer at the top of the stairs, and it made me smile at how sweet they were. I was so happy that she had found someone as nice as AJ to be with, god know she deserved it after all she'd been through. I looked over at Roman now, who just rolled his eyes and chuckled at the both.

''Ok guy's let's get going, Faith's got an appointment with Stephanie within the hour, and I could do with at least one hours shut eye before we come back to the arena'' Roman said.

''Ok man, but I get to drive this time, 'cause you drive like a snail'' AJ said, teasing Roman.

''No I don't'' Roman protested ''It only feels that way 'cause you drive like you're at NASCAR or something'' Roman teased back.

''Never send a man to do a ladies job, am I right girl?'' Summer grinned, coming to stand by my side.

''That's right babe!'' I grinned back, and I took the rental keys from Roman, as we headed over to our rental together.

SETH POV:

Enjoy the good times babe, but I think you know deep down that that wasn't the last you've seen of me...
