It was the last Monday Night Raw before Money In The Bank. Faith had had her contract signing last week, and now it was my turn. I opened my bottle of water as I stood by the gorilla waiting to go out, drenching my entire hair and face and arms with it. I don't know why, but I absolutely loved doing that, I guess it just really got me in the game. I could see from the monitor that Seth was already in the ring, along with Hunter who was there to oversee everything went down smoothly, giving the crowd a big fight feel from his presence alone. I slowly emerged now at the top of the steps when my music played, and immediately locked eyes with Seth's in the middle of the ring. I could see that sly smile of his from all the way up here, and true to form it irritated me greatly...you may know my secret asshole, but Imma make sure you keep it, by knocking you teeth down your god damn throat with another Superman punch!! I thought, clenching my jaw in and out as I glared at him.
I grinned to myself at the thought of kicking his ass, as I slowly made my way down the steps, proudly holding my title over my shoulder.
The ring tonight was decked out with blue carpet, two chairs, and a black table. The table contained two mics, two pens, and one contract...the second you sign that Seth, it'll be legal for me to whoop your sorry ass all over this god damn arena, and you can believe that!
We stood face to face now, and I slowly looked Seth up and down, watching as he smirked back at me with those dark eyes of his...you think you're so clever don't you Rollins? And you were for a time, because I gotta admit I underestimated you brother. I just hope for your sake though, that you never make the mistake of underestimating me.
Now I've only ever done this once, and that was when Faith first told me her story, but right now, standing face to face with her attacker, with less than a week away from finally getting my hands on him...I allowed myself to imagine the pain and hurt Faith was put through that night because of him. And when I did, I could feel my hands start to shake with rage, and slowly but surely, any worries or doubts I had over our match just seemed to...disappear. In that instant, I felt like the real life Superman, and more importantly than that, I felt ready for the big fight!
I quickly removed the image from my mind now, as I was confident that I had just discovered a way to destroy my Kryptonite...but it stung like poison to do it.
Seth began grinning widely at me, like he could read the expression on my face, and was enjoying watching me in pain ''Don't tell me you're not gonna sign that Roman?'' he chuckled.
I quickly refocused my attention and looked down at the contract on the table, then back up at Seth.
''You look a little unsure brother...is it because you finally have an opponent who you know can beat you for that?'' he smiled, pointing at my title slung over eyes with mine.
Scripted or not, Imma shoot promo on you now Seth, then let's see if your still smiling at the end of it!
''Afraid?'' I chuckled ''that's not a word I'm familiar with man. But if you wanna talk about the past Seth, how about your past, huh? I mean, did you really think after all you've done, that you could just waltz back into the WWE and pull the wool over these people's eyes?'' I said ''Nah man, if you believe that, then your an even bigger fool than you already look!'' I smirked at him.
Seth looked pissed now, he could tell I was shooting, which meant he had no comeback!
''You see Seth, Imma kick your ass three ways from Sunday for what you did to all those women...'' then I lowered my voice to a steady growl ''...but I'm gonna take my time breaking every bone in your god damn body for what you did to my girl!!!'' I said through clenched teeth.
