The light cold wind whips around the snowflakes,
above my weary head, like a halo—
shimmering, sparkling, keeping me awake.
My back gone cold; I lie down in mellow.
My heavy eyes fluttering closed with my—
wandering youthful mind bouncing along
a road. My mind caught by the starlit sky
as I sit creating a soothing song—
in my mind, dancing freely within me.
Oh no! I realize I should have moved.
My fingers and toes gone numb, my carefree
spirit sadly at fault. Mom disapproved–
of me not wanting to take the road home.
But nature called within, I had to roam.
