Ch. 1

OLLEH! (HELLO!)

My mom always told me that I could ride, fly, chase the wind, and touch the sky if I had faith that I could. I always had faith, that is, until May 7th, 2018.

I was not a normal girl. My birthday is December 25th. I was born in 2006. I am a competitive person. I love games, family, friends, and if someone wanted to harm my family and friends, I would have to fight them first, even though I can't move my legs.

You see, a lot of people think that I need special attention because of my disability. However, they are all wrong, all of them. When people TRY to give me extra attention, I just turn down because what a lot of people don't realize is that I am just as capable of doing things as any other person who crosses the line. (My mom uses that expression. I'm not really sure what it means.)

My name is Charitie. I am "disabled", but I was not always like this. One day I went to a waterpark, Aqua Power. I went down a slide called the RAGING FISTS OF FURY. My mom told me that I could get hurt going down it, since there was a slight second where there was an upside down moment. The slide is really fast, and I got shot out of it, and I shattered my legs. They never healed, and I went into shock. I wish I had listened to my mom. Now, I have to walk around with arm crutches, or if I don't walk, I have to use a wheelchair.

I love music. I love playing music, listening to music, feeling the music, you get the point. I think that music is the only way to unwind from this world. When I listen to music, my head puts all of my struggles aside, and I feel a peace over me, that doesn't happen very often.
I am not an only child. My mom's name is Cindy. She makes amazing chocolate custard. My dad's name is Jeff. My dad is the MASTER OF DAD JOKES. I have a sister named Faith, and a sister named Hope. Faith and Hope are what I guess you would call my twins because the three of us are triplets. Faith is the sweetest person I know. She is always making time for me, even when it is something totally not worth it. She loves music, and being active. My other sister, Hope, thinks she is on "THE HOPE SHOW, NOW STARRING HOPE". Yeah, she's a little bit self involved. She looks in a mirror and puts on a LOT of makeup because she wants to be a cosmetologist. My mom said that she named us like this to always remind us to have faith, and hope, and that the people who are less fortunate than us need our help. My family is about the only people who understand that I don't need all this attention.

That day at the waterpark, I never knew that my life would never be the same.
