I MA TON A NEKCIHC!( I AM NOT A CHICKEN!) At school, people think that I am a chicken because of how cautious I am.

One day, people wanted to jump off the roof of the school. I didn't want to, for obvious reasons.

"CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN!" People at school said

That was the day I met Sara, Savannah, and Calin. They were the only ones that stood up for me. Since that day, we have remained friends.

I love them as if they were my family. They stand up for me and I stand up for them. We are always there for each other.

That day made me realise that no matter what, my friends would always be there for me.

Now, on weekdays, Calin comes over to study with me, and I go to his house every other week. On the weekends, I spend the night at either Sara, or Savannah's house. I love doing art with Sara, and sports where I don't have to use my legs with Savannah.

Sara, Savannah, and Calin are my best friends. They always have been, and always will be.

Today, I went to Sara's house to do some pottery. When I got there, her mom saw me, and tried to have a conversation with me.

"Charitie! How are you? Where are Faith and Hope?"

"Hi Mrs. Williamson. I am ok. Faith and Hope didn't want to come today." I said

"What a shame. I know that Sara enjoys their presence, along with yours." She replied

"Speaking of Sara, is she home?" I asked

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. You came here to see Sara, here I am, talking your ear off. SARA! CHARITIE'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!" She said, screaming the last part up to Sara

Sara came downstairs, and she was crying.

"Let's go in the other room." She said

"Ok. What's wrong? You know you can always talk to me!" I said

"My dad..." her voice trailed off

"What? What's wrong?"

"He left. He decided to run away from his problems, and his family." Sara said

"Oh my gosh. I am so sorry. That must be terrible." I replied

"What am I going to do? It is ALL my fault!" She said bawling, sitting on her bed hygging her knees

"Let's call Sav. She will have a little more sympathy than I do."

I wanted to be supportive of my best friend's problems, but I did not know how, since I had never gone through that, and so we called Savannah

"Hey Charitie! What's up?"

"Hi Savannah. Sara's dad left, and she thinks it's her fault." I said

"Can I talk to her?"

Savanna is also a child of divorce, and she knew just what to say to make Sara feel better. That day, I felt like a horrible friend, because I could not be there for my best friend.

Savannah and Sara talked for a while. I mean a LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG TIME.

By the time they were done talking, it was near 5:00 in the morning.. Savanna convinced Sara that no matter what happened, we would always be there for her, and that it wasn't her fault.

These kinds of feelings can happen with divorce sometimes. Sometimes, the kid can just be confused, and feel like it is their fault, when it is not.

We ended up inviting Savanna to spend the night that night. We ended up talking about our favorite holiday.
