The next day, we got school off. This was obviously to help us calm down, but Neito had other ideas. He had appeared at my door with Hitoshi because of something that got on his mind.
"Hey Raelynn! Could you do a favor for me?" Asked Neito.
"Uhh, sure? What do you need?" I replied
"We just want you to come with us. This has to do with something about your quirk that Neito found out yesterday." Said Hitoshi.
"Cool, let me just get ready." I said going back inside. I changed into more suitable clothes for going out than pajamas and headed back towards the door. What could Hitoshi have meant about Neito finding something about my quirk?
We headed out and brought me to a familiar place, the hospital I was taken to after the incident with my second quirk and where I met Hitoshi. We walked in and went to the front desk, Neito managing the appointment for whatever we we're doing. Some nurses turned to me, recognizing me after a few seconds of staring as the person that had recovered both limbs and from a hole in their stomach in such a short time.
We we're eventually called into an examination room in a short amount of time. We walked, talking about yesterdays events when we reached a door with a nameplate on it. Reading it I saw a familiar name, Doctor Takahashi. Walking in, I saw the familiar doctor, though slightly more aged.
"Raelynn! When I heard you we're here I asked the person at the front to send you in. I haven't seen you since the quirk incident. You seem to be in perfect condition so may I ask why your here?" Asked Doctor Takahashi. He was a nice guy from what I had seen of him. I looked towards Neito, since he's the one that brought us here originally.
"Hello sir, My name In Neito Monoma. A friend of Raelynn's." Said Neito, shaking the doctor's hand. "I'm the one that brought her here for a re-examination of her second quirk."
"And why would that be? You usually can't get a re-examination without a good reason yet the others sent you up just fine." Said Doctor Takahashi. I also wondered why he wanted me to get a re-examination.
"Well you see, yesterday was the attack on the USJ, as you have probably seen. My quirk is called copy which allows me to copy someones quirk by just touching them, which I copied Raelynn's quirk for most of the attack. Yesterday while we we're defending myself, I had gotten hit with a needle from someones quirk, although I didn't know that then. It was only when I had gotten an examination was the needle discovered. They didn't really freak out too much until it was put into light that the person the needle came from had a quirk called poison needle, a quirk that allows the holder to shoot needles that contain a substance close to cyanide. Although the amount contained in each needle is not at the lethal dosage, it should has still caused some sort of reaction in me which it didn't." Neito said.
"And why would that be strange? People with self regenerating quirks often times have a natural resistance to most poisons." Said Doctor Takahashi.
"That's true, but that's not what is strange. It's that I didn't notice it. From most articles I've read on people with self regenerating quirks it says that poisons don't cause any lasting damage, but still have a large sting when injected, which I didn't feel." Said Neito. That is weird, and something I would have never know unless I got poison injected in me myself.
We went over a few tests, looking at the usual aspects that people look over when getting their first examination. We eventually got to a point where we tested poisons, although not before I signed a contract. It went the same as what Neito had said before, not even any pain from the poison, just the pricking feeling that could easily be look over when adrenaline is flowing and focus is somewhere else.
"I'm still not finding anything that would contribute to the fact that poisons don't affect you... Hey Raelynn, has anything weird happened recently?" Asked Doctor Takahashi
"Not that I recall... except this one time I felt a little weird trying to grab something that should have been a little far from my reach, which I seemed to grab just fine." I replied, thinking back on recent days. I had skipped over the fact before because it seemed insignificant. Thinking back on the time though, it should have been near impossible to grab it with my arms length.
"Hmmmm... lets try to recreate that." Doctor Takahashi proceeded to sit me down and place a bottle away from me. I showed him that without stretching, the bottle was still out of my reach. He told me to start reaching while focusing on the bottle and my arm with my eyes closed.
Attempting to grab the bottle, I reached towards it. After a few seconds of reaching I felt my hand grasp the bottle. I opened my eyes to find my arm longer than it should be, almost freakishly long.
After that, he had me do it again. Though this time he told me to focus on making my arms longer. I did it with no problem. He did a few more tests which all seemed to prove correct to whatever he was thinking.
It was 3 tests that he had me do, one where I had to focus on shedding tears, which I did almost instantly. Another where I focused on sweating, which again, I did instantly. The last he had me eat some food and told me to focus on quickly digesting it, which again for the 3rd time, happened almost instantly.
"I think I've figured out what is going on. Your quirk is not a self regeneration quirk, but a quirk that allows you to control your bodily functions to inhumane degrees. It also seems it has the ability to control the DNA in you, which is what caused the arm lengthening. It was a combination of DNA manipulation, which told your body that it was not correct, and the fact that you subconsciously, though your will to survive, force your body to heal quickly. I've never seen a quirk like this and to be honest, I think that with more practice you could clone yourself." Doctor Takahashi said in a joking manor.
After hearing that, we talked with him a bit more on the possible capabilities of my quirk and headed home. It was pretty surprising when I figured out the true capabilities of my quirk, especially with the DNA manipulation and healing combo.
"...lynn? REALYNN?!" Screamed Hitoshi.
"Wha-what?" I replied.
"I've been trying to grab your attention for the past few minutes, what are you even thinking about?" Asked Hitoshi.
"Oh, just the things I should be capable of. I bet this will be a surprise to the rest of the class. Although I have to fill out one of those government sheets that explains your quirk..." I replied.
"Yeah, that kinda sucks." Said Neito.
"Oh! This talking about my quirk has reminded my of an idea!" I said, thinking back upon an idea I had a couple days ago.
"And what would that be?" Asked Hitoshi.
"Well..."
Oof man, is that a cliff hanger I see? Must be tuff.
I don't really have anything to say today, except for the fact that I'm back in school :( I'm gonna have even less time for this, AND I'm a procrastinator... rip
I wanna give another thanks to @Yuri-Jin7 again though. If you skipped chapter 14's note, then you wouldn't know that they made the cover!
Welp that all for now

FanficIdk what I'm doing and I'm to lazy for Japanese names. So uhhh, guess I'll just get on with the show. Raelynn Harvey was somewhat normal. Sure she came from a family of British Immigrants, but that was the only thing. She never really stood out, eve...
