When she arrived at the stairs, Jungkook moved to her right side and walked next to her. He took the paper out of his pocket. When he made sure that people were coming from behind and covered their back, unable to see anything either, he tried to feel Dahyun's hand and shoved the paper into her hand. Surprised from this sudden action, she looked to her side. Jungkook didn't move a mimic. When she realized it was Jungkook, she immediately turned her head to the front and took the paper. Jungkook felt a prickle in his fingertips when their hands touched but he kept moving forward with the crowd. From the side, he saw how she clenched her fist in which she was holding the paper. Downstairs, Jungkook passed her and walked, with tiny jumps, to Seokjin's side, who was walking in the back. He put his arm around his shoulder and comforted him but he had Dahyun in his mind. This feeling of happiness was different from any he had felt until now. He couldn't describe it but it was.. just different. A feeling like the winter was warm, the darkness was bright, the flowers bloomed in the night. Jungkook didn't know what that meant, but it felt like this and he knew a new chapter was about to begin in his life.
The next day, January the 14th, Jungkook woke up early but this time because of excitement. Last night, when he came home, he took his fastest shower. He had been looking on his phone for a message since he got out of the waiting room. Even in the shower, he had turned on the sound of his phone, in case a message from Dahyun came. But there was none. He started worrying if she had changed her mind. But then, when he was wearing his shirt in the clothing cabinet, he heard the sound of Kakaotalk. Jungkook had never rushed to his bedroom this fast before. It was an unsaved number. The message said
"Hello, this is Kim Dahyun. This is Jeon Jungkook-shi, right? I'm sorry for writing this late. I hope I don't disturb you"
Jungkook's heart started beating faster, he smiled from ear to ear. He sat down on the edge of his bed and scratched his head. What should he write?
"Hello, Dahyun-shi. It's right, this is Jeon Jungkook. I wasn't sleeping yet. Actually I was waiting for your message"
What else?
"You didn't change your min-", no, delete.
"You still wan-", no, delete.
Jungkook didn't know how he should express his desire to go on the trip to the Seonjaryeong Mountain with her.
"About tomorrow.. I hope it's not too spontaneous for you. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable"
Jungkook waited for her reply. He couldn't keep calm. He stood up and walked around the room. When he heard the message sound he quickly sat down again.
"No, it's ok. I looked up the pictures on the internet. It's a beautiful place. I don't have any schedule for tomorrow, so I will enjoy this trip comfortably"
Jungkook pressed the edge of his phone against his forehead and screamed silently in excitement. Then collected himself and wrote
"What a relief.. Then I will write you the details tomorrow. Is it ok for you if we meet up at 10am?"
"Yes, it's ok. Alright then, see you tomorrow"
"See you tomorrow"
Jungkook threw himself backwards on his bed, then rolled to the side. He couldn't stop smiling. He turned back on his back, looking at the ceiling, he put his hands behind his head and thought about his feelings. Excitement, happiness but also worry. He didn't know what his plans were for tomorrow. Was the Seonjaryeong Mountain even a good idea? Jungkook rubbed his eyes. This all started spontaneously, so it should go on spontaneously, it didn't matter anymore.
